It’s really not that hard for me tbh.

I’d fucking love to win the EL and will absolutely ZERO fucking mixed emotions if we win it.

The club is a shit show that needs new ownership BUT I’m still pretty optimistic for the future of this squad. We are (always) a few good transfers away from really challenging and there were worse squads than ours in the Champions League this season.
Agreed.

It's so tough this one... I understand Jaynola's point of view... this club is a shit show and has been for a few seasons now... our PL form is disgraceful and it is the real measurement of the health of the club... winning the Europa does not paper over the cracks of this club... but, we've been starved of success for so long that winning the Europa League, even under this clown will be a day to remember. Yes, it's not the premier European trophy but I still regard it as proper silverware even if the competition has been weakened significantly over the years. It also delivers Champions League although I'm quite scared about that... we could be well and truly embarrassed and I don't think a new manager changes that. Maybe look at it this way... and I will credit WillWilliams WillWilliams for the inspiration here - Winning the Europa is like a two way with Margot Robbie (the trophy) and Melissa McCarthy holding a 10inch dildo (Ange)... you are not turning down that opportunity even if you have a sore ass in the morning.
It's not, but it's the one we're in.

Nobody associated with this club should be looking down on any trophy up for grabs, even back when we were in the Europa Conference, if we are so above it then we should have been able to win it at a canter...

If (and I'm sorry but I cannot muster any real expectation that we will) we do win it, then we'll then have an opportunity at the European Super Cup, and I don't care if it's a glorified friendly, I'd be absolutely delighted if we won that too. Probably be a lot more excited about that too given that we will presumably have someone in charge that you can actually have some belief in.

Well put!

Spurs in a Super Cup final against Barcelona

1. The PL is your bread & butter

2. We'll sure remember that trophy...should we win it...but not for the right reasons. You're the only one that'll have the picture of Ange with the CL's ugly sister's trophy turned into a wallpaper for his basement shrine

Every properly successful team follows your point 1.

Someone has probably posted it here already but I couldn’t find it.

I just saw a clip on FB of Danny Murphy talking to Adrian Durham on TalkShite. It must have been after the Liverpool game on Sunday or Monday. Anyway, there was the usual question of whether Ange Should be given next season if we win the EL. Was quite surprised to hear Murphy give an emphatic No! He said Ange needs to go and the reason is “I just don’t think he’s a very good coach.”

This is the first time I’ve heard a mainstream pundit call out Ange for being crap. I’ve seen a few that I reckon wanted to say something but always chickened out, then went on to say things like maybe he should be given more time or see what he’s like without the injuries etc.

Instead, Murphy said he couldn’t believe what he saw at the Wolves game where we conceded 4. Said he believed we must be the only team in PL that has absolutely no defensive plan. Our full backs end up in centre circle for no reason, or cover at centre half because our centre half is out on the wing somewhere and if there is any marking it’s simply someone deciding to do it as opposed to a plan. Never seen anything like it. And the space given to Trent in Spurs own half on Sunday, time and time again being unopposed was shocking.

Hopefully a few of the others join in now and Daniel is listening.

Levy knows nothing about football but surely even he isn’t minded to stick with a manager who loses 20+ league games just because they win the Europa League.

Winning it is best for everyone, Ange will be vindicated with his “second season” mantra and can dine out on it spitefully for the rest of his career. Levy gets to add a trophy to the cabinet. Fans get to ignore the memory of this disgusting league campaign and enjoy the winning feeling. We get to politely say goodbye to Ange without having to lie asleep at night wondering if he will deliver another injury crisis next season and another 20+ defeats. Would any one of us really look forward to a CL campaign with him in charge? Just imagine how we’d fare if we had to play Bayern, PSG, Atletico etc instead of fucking Ferencvaros and Qarabag.
I understand what you're saying completely but with this club you simply can't bank on anything...especially if the season has been a profitable one...we all know where levy's priorities lie...I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised...

Cooks him.

"I've never seen a team defensively set up without a defensive plan" 🔥

Ouch.

He is the only one I actually listen to when he talks about Ange, because he never shys from telling it how it is. His technical explanations as well are really spot on when you see what he is talking about.

This is not the first time, he's been exposing the fraud manager all season.

Big respect to Danny. I like how cool and calm he is when talking about it. You feel the knowledge and confidence of what he is saying.
