Basically whatever happens he's gone. If he wins the EL he gets a nice bonus, his "I always win second season" things is still there and theefore potentially attractive to other employers, we as fans finally get a trophy and ENIC can say "see, we delivered the trophy you wanted. Ange then lets go by "mutual consent" and thanked publically.
If we dont win the EL, then theres every possibility he gets sacked before the final league game with a completely different spin from the club that results were not what they should have been in the league, blah blah. Then its back to square one anyway, just without the silverware.

But saying give him first 5 games is really a vote of confidence. Say we play all the promoted teams plus a few near the bottom and somehow pickup say 10 points from 15. Do we still keep him? We know over the long term past 18 months his results have been shite. Therefore next 10 games we may pickup 5 points. Where would that leave us. We can’t waste another season based on seeing how he gets on in first 5 games.
People seem to forget it’s not just Ange it’s his whole coaching staff and medical team. Do we want all them hanging around like a bad smell.
I think fir mist it will be take trophy like Jim Bowen use to say “it’s yours” and move on. All the top teams from the top leagues are in the CL. Not like before where teams 2-5 would be in the UEFA or the stupid dropping out from CL into Europa. Which made it harder to win but was a nonsense. As fans we should just ff we have won a trophy, gives us CL and we might get some extra revenue. Say good bye to Ange who can go with his “I always win ….”.

No I think a cup is a cup and if you enter a comp then you should try to win it for the fans and to create history. Also shows players you are a winning team and have that right mentality to be winners. Players like that as well. At the end of the day they want to see winners medals as well from their carreers in football.

This is just pure speculation though.
What WILL happen is that if we win the final, there will be an agenda from certain people on here. We would have won because 'Utd didn't turn up, or we got lucky, or the players won that in spite of Ange'

People spend too much time in here manifesting losing matches as opposed to winning, weird behaviour.
It is interesting to see the difference in our fortunes after year 1 of Ange (5th) and this season (16th), with one major difference being that Chris Daves was the main assistant first team coach last year, and he left for Birmingham at the end of last season and just posted incredible results in his first seasons asa a manager (P46 W34 D9 L3 Points 111). Incredibly, for a team that has amassed 111 points in the league they average less than 2 goals a game (F84 A31).

The league form has been normalised and accepted because the Europa is the real quiz.
19 pts from our last 23 league games 5 wins which include Southampton x2 , Ipswich and Man Utd. That equates to 31pts over a season and in most years relegation. Anyone saying if we win the Europa then thats all forgotten but it fucking shouldnt be. This isnt finishing 7th or 8th with a trophy, its become an acceptance of losing.
