Surely the board have to look at his comments and think this guy can’t manage being in Europe , cups and league. Funny how toon have managed to win a cup and still be third. It’s not like we have had to play the Euro big hittters in the EL like Villa did. They got to FA cup semi and CL QF but are much higher in the league than us. We’ve not played that many more games and certainly not of the same intensity or quality.

1. How many of those coaches would have thrown their toys out the pram, lambasted the owner and sulked (e.g. Jose, Conte, Poch)
2. How many of those coaches would have sacrificed their own job to get the bare bones team into a European final.

Porro played and Kinski and Spence have been starters as well as Danso. Bent started in midfield. Just the wrong setup along with no intensity. They more of the ball as well yet our forwards couldn’t exploit any space as palace are setup properly.

And now blaming the league defeats on having long cup runs. League cup ended early feb. It’s not like we have had two games a week since then.

Last years wasn’t we didn’t have enough games or something? Anyways he still had plenty of time on the practice pitches to work on things . The more time he had the worse it got. It was only at start of season where he had only been in job for a few months that things looked ok. Although a bit fortunate with some results.

I don’t know why the reporter didn’t follow up with that line of questioning. How comes palace were right up for it and played a strong side. I don’t think they have ever one a trophy do for them next week is bigger for them than us.
