I should know the answer to this and don't. There's a lot of discussion here of the Europa League trophy being a "minor" trophy. Is there such a thing as a minor trophy? Sure, some are more desirable than others but would you really call any trophy minor? I've never seen a list of any team's trophies that excluded any of them or put an asterisk beside some of them for being less worthy. I think a lot of this discussion is just that people who want "Ange Out" (and I'm one of them) are afraid Spurs winning Europa means a return in the fall to the misery of this season. I don't see the point, though, of raining on the parade. Spurs won a trophy and maybe that's step one to ending all the ridiculous "Spursy" talk. That's a good thing.

It's amazing to see how the euphoria and hysteria makes a lot of people suddenly forget just what we have become underhim.. Where's the objectivity gone?
Do you really think that winning this trophy will make us/him any better? Stop being so short sighted....some of you..!

Mate my opinions on Ange (Want him gone) Levy (want him gone) Spurs ( will love it till my dying day) have not been change one iota after last night. But I'm loving the word winners next to our name.

Reading this....it's just pathetic. Your football team...has just won a major European trophy for the first time in roughly 41 years....and your main focus is not to celebrate and be joyful....but instead play it down and undermine the achievement.

Stop It Michael Jordan GIF
The guy must be a realist

I’d prefer we play academy kids in the LC and focus on the FA Cup

Too many games to win the LC
I agree with this. It's usually seen as the easier of the 2 to win but looking back over the last 10 or so years one of the top 2-3 teams has won it, usually the league champions because they're in peak form/fitness by the time the final comes around. FA Cup has been won by really poor Woolwich and United teams recently because it's at the back end of a season when teams are focusing on other things and are more mentally and physically drained.

Some countries do have it, some don't. Some (like Germany) take their Charity Shield thing more seriously. It's ok. It's another pot. I'd like to win it, but would far rather win the EL to that or the FA Cup tbh. Somehow the FA Cup at the new Wembley isn't as special.

Premier League -> Champions League -> Europa League -> FA Cup -------------> League cup-->Conference League-->Community shield------> Audi Cup

In 2 seasons we’ve finished 5th and then won the Europa League under him.

That’s happened whilst gutting the senior members of the squad and bedding in an absurd amount of Talented teenagers. Those teenagers and academy kids now associate playing for the seniors with winning major trophies.

Exactly

It’s our trophy as well. About time people were reminded of that.

None of this home and away leg rubbish in December and January neither
