For some, the objective evidence is our first European trophy in 41 years, our first trophy altogether in 17 years and Champions League football.

The poor league form is a valid argument for wanting him gone, but equally the EL trophy is a valid argument for wanting him to stay.
But what happens next season?

Do you think the Champions League is winnable based on this season’s performance?

The league form should be the overriding factor because it’s based on a much bigger sample of evidence and against higher quality opponents.

funny Newcastle and Palace both won cups and didn't sacrifice the league for it.... Explain why Ange had too?

The FA cup is not the same mate - come on - this isn't me saying we should keep ANge but FA cup games are played on the weekend and are nothing like 6 months playing in Europe with back to back midweek games.

The notion that the two schedules are comparable in any way, shape, or form is unserious.

Same with Newcastle - considering we played 1 game less than them in that competition on top of the Europa League schedule.

Just a nonsense post

You’re basing that on an opinion piece written by a journalist for clicks!

I very much doubt ANYONE outside of a few board members really knows what’s going on.
Alli G doesn’t post stuff like that unless it’s double sourced, and one of those sources will be from within the club.

It doesn’t really matter if it’s true or not anyway. His lack of leadership is evident from his final programme address, through to letting everyone go off on holiday with no clarity. He’ll always fritter away momentum, because that’s what he always has done in the past.

The sources within the club will be opinions likely based on a feeling, nothing more.

This isn’t going to be something that’s an open secret communicated willy nilly.

‘football.london understands that there remains a chance the 59-year-old could stay in place‘ - ie they don’t really know with any certainty! Like I said hedging your bets!

Need this sorted by next week at the latest. Our rivals are all already moving.

No player who really wants to come to us is going to worry waiting a week or so. They’ll be on their holidays too of course.

Probably sounding out managers and depending what happens will go from there. Exactly the same mistakes Utd made last summer with Ten Hag.

I don’t think there’s any harm in waiting a week or so to see how the dust settles, it hasn’t even been a week since we lifted the cup. A new appointment announcement has to happen at the same time though.

FFS sake - Make a call on Ange you bald f'in cunt so we can move forward. Our rivals are snapping up players while you f'in dither ... A Cup win was a possibility for how long? How was this not anticipated and thought through before-hand? Lack of planning is unbelievable.

Good thing we are taking advantage of the momentum from our Europa League win ... oh wait ... Look at United's activity in the links below - We won/They lost right? So WTF are we doing?!?

Sources: Man Utd wait on Delap after deal agreed

Take a chill pill before you have a stroke! 😂

Both those deals have been if the offing for months.

The club will still be talking to players and with CL football the manager position isn’t likely to be a deal breaker.

Yeah i thought we'd probably be around 6th. The top 6 are all pretty strong but there is no way we should be lower than 7th. People say we dont have the squad but its better than Forest, Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham. Insane levels of under performance.
People seem to forget what lineups we were forced to use during most of the games. It's not the numbers of injury days as some have pointed, it's who was missing. We played a good number of matched missing 2-4 of our starting back four and another good number without CF. Some times these happened at the same time.

They should’ve made a decision by now they knew the outcome of the final would be either a win or a loss weeks ago and should’ve had pre-made decisions in place of each outcome

We're wasting time while United, a team that we beat in the final is signing players that could've come to us.
I can imagine decision of sacking might be already taken but not yet annouced (too soon since our EL win and parade). Even Ange said he wasnt invited for meetings re:upcoming window so far.

I really hope we are actively interviewing possible new managers and once we get someone on the board, announcements will be made (hopefully next week).

Re: players that United/Pool are trying to buy right now - i believe we dont buy those guys anyway because of wages.

Also - i might be completely wrong and Levy is in panic mode and indeed wasting our time :D

I’m sure they are talking to other managers right now, if the right candidate wants to come then no doubt Ange will be gone. Levy is just waiting for the euphoria to wear off.

That defeat to Brighton on Sunday probably helped focus a lot of minds. The players were hungover and didn’t give a toss but the performance still looked the same as our usual shit displays. It’s quite damning for Ange that there wasn’t any difference between the team performance after being on the booze for 3 days straight and say, the performance at home to Leicester.
