Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Because we won it, it would be incredibly stupid if he didn’t stay

We would be instantly retired from winning trophies again.

If there are people running this club who never won shit for years and persuaded themselves that Ange wasn’t the difference this time, they are deluded and will almost certainly take us back into purgatory.

All they have to do is give him into December to prove it one way or another.
What makes you think Ange will do any better next season with the calibre of teams we will be up against?

He’s clearly shown by the league position he’s not capable of beating better teams on a regular basis.

Completely disagree with that. Postecoglou was the manager. We won.

The club can and will move on and should also part company with Postecoglou.

Nothing will change my view on that.

I think some people are conflating progress with retention of Postecoglou. Utterly flawed.

We will see.

We lose nothing by seeing what happens until December.

There’s no managers on the market that you HAVE toto sack him for right now

Hopefully the rumours of juve wanting Silva are true. Just need frank to say he's Brentford for life now.

And we can start targeting managers who actually develop technically astute players and play good possession based football
I Hope Please GIF

Yeah mate but with Kane and Poch we were clashing heads with the likes of Madrid in Europe (and beating them) and finishing on 86 points in the prem, not finishing 17th and throwing everything at the ropey league.

Such embarrassing shite. You really think if the peak Spurs side with peak Kane had entered this years version of the EL and focused everything on it, we wouldn’t have won it? FFS you clowns, that Spurs team didn’t win the actual major European trophy only because we played 98 point Liverpool.

Kane’s Spurs were simply fighting in higher weight classes.
Five months later, that very same Spurs team went out in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup to Colchester and lost 7-2 to Bayern Munich in the CL.

Our history is full of teams that should have won trophies but didn't. Harry Redknapp's high flying 09/10 team were gifted an FA Cup semi-final against bottom of the league Portsmouth. Portsmouth were up to their ears in administration and couldn't even afford to play certain players because they couldn't afford their appearance fees - they were the most desperate, pathetic club to ever represent the top flight of English football. We lost 2-0.

In 94/95, our Klinsmann-inspired team came back from 2-0 down to win 6-2 against Southampton and beat LIverpool at Anfield just to lose 4-1 in the semi-final to an Everton team that had spent most of the season fighting relegation.

And look up the 86/87 team - 3rd in the league, league cup semi-finalists, FA Cup finalists and didn't win a thing despite being one of our best ever teams.

Winning a trophy is never as easy as it looks. There are so many factors involved in getting one over the line. When it comes to knockout competition, anything can happen on the day. Even though we had already beaten them 3 times this season, I dreaded the prospect of facing United in the Final because I knew we were more than capable of losing to them and I would have found it absolutely unbearable. A Cup Final as a Tottenham fan is sheer agony.
