Listen frank may come here and be a bust but this makes no sense. We hired saints manager when we got poch yet he took us on quite a ride. We hired harry and again the football was excellent. At the end of the day all the managers people have suggested or we have been linked with, we just dont know how its going to all play out. The one thing that will be consistent is levy in the transfer market.

None of those were hired after achieving our biggest success in 41 years

Frank coming in after we lose the EL final is a completely different world to after winning it,

Same reason it’s nothing like United and Ten Hag.

This shit will never not amuse me! Of fucking course he wanted the gig mad how some of our own fans enjoy punching down on this great club
Our last two summer managerial searches have both been interminable shambles in which multiple mooted deals fell apart and we ended up with someone not even on the radar screen when the process began.

And continuing with that theme, it is once again totally unclear what the backroom setup is above the manager and who would even be making the decision.

Buckle up.

Graham Potter did similarly well at Brighton to what Frank is doing at Brentford- so well Chelsea replaced him for their European cup winning manager Tuchel.

A) And Howe did similarly well at Bournemouth yet has been a big success at Newcastle. Frank has a lot more about him than Potter does btw.

B) Tuchel was/is a very good coach, but he won the actual European cup. His issue was falling out with their board.

You don't think we spunked out much more over the years?

Strange argument. In fact it's nit really an argument.

Just a few typed words.
Oh yeah definitely N’Dombele & Lo Celso for a start + manager payoffs but me thinks we’re getting side tracked here there’s one constant in this situation he’s been in the thick of it we all no who it is! I’m no against Frank, Ange didn’t do himself any favours on numerous occasions against the press, fans ….if he rocks up (Frank) then I’ll support him and hope he does well i just think Postecoglou has bought himself time with the cup win that’s all.

400 million to go from relegation candidates to CL regulars and multiple cup finals including winning one of them against the actual champions?

Not a bad fucking return. How much have we spent on Ange so far?

€447,450,000 on 16 players according to Transfermarkt. Including the obligations for Porro and Kulusevski, but not Danso's it seems, so really depends on how you cut the cake.

But, in short, 400 million to go from CL regulars to relegation candidates. One Europa though, which to some of the fan base seems to forgive the first bit

He's clearly a very effective manager and would be an upgrade over Ange in most senses.

My one reservation is that Brentford have extraordinarily good scouting and analysis functions to support Frank, and I doubt Spurs will ever have the discipline to provide it.

They too wanted Brennan Johnson and Archie Gray let’s not forget!

Joking aside, Frank is used to working under a similar recruitment structure to ours.

Well put.

If you prioritize the one competition where glory is possible at the expense of a few quid from league positions, you get sacked by these clowns.

The game might be about glory for fans but not for Levy.

Is there some sort of rule that we’re the only team that has to bin off our league form to the point of near relegation to win a trophy?

I dunno how other teams manage.

Meh didn’t finish 8th/10th etc

The spell he has on some people that that (admittedly great) night can make people instantly forget months of misery
