Yeah, I didn't care much about the cupping to his ear. It's human to lose your composure when the pressure's on. But I lost respect for him when he lied about why he did it.
the embarrassing thing is, the goal didn't even stand, then hes lied on top of that. he was always going to lie anyway, as hes never going to admit why he ear cupped, but for the goal to be ruled off too

It’s the one learning to coach in Australia

Keep clinging on to your ignorance mate. It suits you
After a career playing at the highest level for club and country, something you're deliberately ignorant of. He's not someone who's spent his whole career in Aus, Japan & Scotland before getting a Prem job is he but then you know that already, simply lashing out cos your idol is in danger, tut tut.

Got a bad feeling he'll be given the start of the season.

Thought it would happen today.
In fairness the word has been, "decision this week".. It is only Monday.. I don't think that "no announcement" is an indicator in either direction. Because either way, there'll be an announcement of some sort.. If he's going, it'll be a club statement.. And if he's staying it'll be a briefing to the press.

His second season in the Europa League Round of 32 against Fiorentina was the only European knockout tie Poch ever won here outside of the 2019 CL run.

That sounds about right, after we lost to them the year before, days before losing the final against Chelsea.

Gent knocked us out the following year after dropping down to the Europa League after a poor group stage in the Champions League at Wembley, with the cheap job lot, 3 ticket bundles which were hardly worth using for that final game to secure progression to the Europa.

hes still on holiday tho aint he? would levy sack him while on holiday? as someone said, with all this news about it, the club should really be coming out and backing him in some way if he is staying, you cant have all this noise and not do anything.
Once the news that they are talking to at least one potential replacement leaks, the club would have to either deny that or replace him. There's no going back from there.

Yes could easily sack him while on holiday.
Would just be a case of working details out with his agent, which are basically on the club premises anyway and then announcing.

This is where the distinction with the Erik Ten Hag thing comes in.

United decided he wasn't good enough, went looking for replacements in a very public way, didn't like what they found, and then came crawling back, not to mention spending a bunch of money on two of his former players.

We should not do that. If it's time to move on then it's time to move on and let the chips fall where they may.
