FUCK SAKE - STOP IGNORING PEOPLE!

Poch sacrificed the Ropey League for top 4 finishes.
FUCKING. LISTEN.

He, nor anyone else in the history of ENIC, the Premier League, the growth of the Champions League, EVER threw away league game after league game after league game to ease past shit like fucking Bodo fucking Glimpt.

STOP BEING A FUCKING DIV AND FUCKING UNDERSTAND.

NOBODY HAS EVER BEEN GIVEN FREE REIGN TO KEEP LOOSING EVERY WEEK.
NOBODY HAS EVER NOT HAD TO WORRY ABOUT BEING SACKED ON A MONDAY AFTER YET ANOTHER LEAGUE LOSS.

Any one of Jol, Redknapp, AVB, Poch, Mourinho or Conte would have won a ropey league.
NOT ONE OF THEM WOULD HAVE GOT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOR IT AS IT DIDN'T AWARD THAT.
And for that reason, they all HAD to focus on league form.

GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK FUCKING SKULL AND STOP TALKING SHIT.

If admin aren't going to ban this twat despite EVERYONE foul voting him, I think I'll have to ban my fucking self.

You could argue that Ange had the bottle them other coaches didn't have, where he actually went ahead and binned off the league games in order to win a trophy. He put all his eggs in the Europa basket and the gamble paid off.

He was laughed at and ridiculed every week. None of the other manager's you mentioned had the nerve to do that and go against all the pressure. We would have finished midtable under any of the other coaches you mentioned (at least 10 points better off), but we would have got knocked out by AZ or Frankfurt. Ange binned off all the league games around them to make sure we had our best available 11 fresh for them games and we needed them to get through. Another manager would have been too afraid to bin off the league.

You can relax now in the safety that Frank will never ever rotate players around League games. We will do all our rotation in the cup games and we'll be going all out to finish as high as we can in the league again! Who knows we might even win a top 4 trophy under Frank! You can relax again. Normality has been restored.

Good points Ed.
Ange has his faults and in his defence has been front and centre(good and bad) of Spurs since he took over.
I said before always thought he talked too in-depth in his pressers and was making a rod for his back which was always going to backfire.
Football aside he has been noted during the season as saying that he’s the only voice that stands up for Spurs which is very true, and i loved amongst other things him giving Wenger a serve re:Champs league place for winning Europa.
Your spot on though mate Levy needs to tell Ange and us the fans asap one way or another what the go is .
All Champs leagues and top teams are getting their house in order now re :new signings ,we cant afford to be fricking about re Ange in or out as we will be left at the starting gate as per usual.
Spot on , but it’s not just strategically wrong , as I said it’s a lack of class . At least it’s my definition of a lack of class .

I'm with you but other managers tried and failed in the Europa.

Doesn't excuse the PL sh!t of last season, but it isn't right to say others ditched the Europa or other cups. We have been either a tad unlucky or simply failed.

Last season we weren't great in the Europa one little but, but won it. No masterclass and no master plan, but we got over the line. It certainly wasn't a PSG are the best team in their competition and it would have been a surprise if they didn't win.

We were one of 4 or 5 teams that were likely but there was no clear water between us and 3 or 4 other teams.

How Postecoglou is still here is way beyond me.

As an aside I think if another PL team wins the Europa next year, UEFA will look to change the rules of entry into the CL. England can't and should not have 6 teams in it.
Which prior manager has been given free reign to lose every week in the PL and been in the europa league with NO Champions League drop outs to play?

Last season was very unique for us.
Ange has benefited hugely from the new format and a chairman so beleaguered from fan backlash he couldn't sack him.

Ange wasn't given a free reign and this is why he is going to get sacked.

He went against the club hierarchy and went rogue to win us a trophy. Him and the players blocked out all noise and got it done. Now Ange is paying the price and will be sacked. All our previous managers would not have rotated as heavily in the league around the Knock out games and we probably would have gone out to AZ or Frankfurt but would have finished top half in the league.

I don't think Levy and the board understood what they were getting in Postecoglou. In Australia he worked in the media and he was a motivational speaker. He prioritizes telling fans what they want to hear and creating loyalty among the players to him personally, not the team. Postecoglou manipulates the media, fans, and players which insulates him against being fired. Spurs are stuck with this guy unless they have the nerve to cut the cord and risk the backlash.

None.

I am simply saying that a succession of managers haven't just jettisoned all chance of winning thr various cup competitions.

I have stated I think it was about time we won something and that the fates conspired n our favourite, without seeking to detract of us winning it.

My position I'd clear on Postecoglou, abd the rest in many respects is just semantics.

I get what you are saying but this is a massive football club, and with due respect to Postecoglou, he is a relative nobody, who will soon be forgotten.

Not stuck with him in the slightest. I hope the club are simply doing all that's needed to bring someone suitable in.

If there are Spurs fans who are thick enough or able to accept 22 league defeats and all the humiliation and despondency that goes with it, then good for them, but this poster isn't.

People are giving Postecoglou way too much credit and leverage.

Calling Ange a nobody does disrespect him.
You cannot have two bob each way on this!

Porro coming out begging for him to stay.. I imagine they'll fold to that sort of pressure and keep the manager.

So it will be nice speeches and the power of friendship from here on in. Not high demands every week. Just the odd cup game.

Unless there is an amazing trophy haul by his successor he will not be forgotten any time soon
Those oh so humiliating 22 defeats will be long forgotten in the shadow of a Europa league - some one once said the game is about glory !!
