Porro coming out begging for him to stay.. I imagine they'll fold to that sort of pressure and keep the manager.

So it will be nice speeches and the power of friendship from here on in. Not high demands every week. Just the odd cup game.

Porro can fcuk off.

What is it with these fcuking players. Don't they have any shame?

Someone needs to get a grip of all this crap.

Losing games left, right and centre and come out asking for a manager to stay. Just shut up and do your fcuking job better, then we wouldn't be having all this bo!!ocks.

This isn't true. The only person who's vocally confirmed he'd be here next year. Is Ange himself..

All the speculation before the final from those journalists with a good reputation (David Ornstein etc), was that the result of the final wouldn't change that he is going to be sacked. And the club did not temper those stories via a press leak. Which they absolutely would have done if there was zero validity to them.
David Ornstein and good reputation don't belong in the same sentence.

I get what you are saying but this is a massive football club, and with due respect to Postecoglou, he is a relative nobody, who will soon be forgotten.

Not stuck with him in the slightest. I hope the club are simply doing all that's needed to bring someone suitable in.

If there are Spurs fans who are thick enough or able to accept 22 league defeats and all the humiliation and despondency that goes with it, then good for them, but this poster isn't.

People are giving Postecoglou way too much credit and leverage.
Fair points. I do think firing him creates problems with the fan base and some of the players. But you make the good point that sentiments change quickly. It wasn't that long ago that fans were lining up solidly against Postecoglou and after the trophy win that seemed to shift dramatically.

And first to lose 22 league games in a season since when?

6th time since 1991 we have had as few as 11 wins in a league season.

Funnily enough..

24/25: 11 league wins - Europa League winners
07/08: 11 league wins - League Cup winners
98/99: 11 league wins - League Cup winners
97/98 - 11 league wins - Won nothing
93/94 - 11 league wins - Won nothing
90/91 - 11 league wins - FA Cup winners

Odd that it's our lowest win tally for a 38 game season, that we have equalled 6 times yet won trophies on 4 of those occasions.

'It's lucky for Spurs when league wins end in 1' ?

The players aren't paid by Postecoglou. Fans are fickle as fcuk. It can't be much worse, so there is little or no gamble.

Cheers. Unbelievable stat. Don't tell Levy.

Ange wasn't given a free reign and this is why he is going to get sacked.

He went against the club hierarchy and went rogue to win us a trophy. Him and the players blocked out all noise and got it done. Now Ange is paying the price and will be sacked. All our previous managers would not have rotated as heavily in the league around the Knock out games and we probably would have gone out to AZ or Frankfurt but would have finished top half in the league.

Remember 2023/24 ???
When Ange was furious at fans and journos, (paraphrasing) 'How dare you ask me to play understrength and lose a game, so Woolwich title can be denied'.... Where did that angry Ange go, who wanted us to have the winning mentality to win at all cost ???

For me , it seems Ange is doing double talk now that his job is in jeopardy. Otherwise, his preaching in Woolwich vs City game of 2024 is not what he followed in 2024/25.

Ange was given a free reign.... Had he not been given, how could he have done that ? Club could have easily sacked him atleast 5 times over the season....They didnt , did they.?

Who said that, you need to rotate heavily ....and only then you can win a cup ?

Like, did Palace do now in FA Cup ?
Or Newcastle while playing league cup ?
Except the game before the final, every other rounds, they did play as much strength as possible in PL.

Btw, since you talk about AZ...we did rotate the previous game and we did lose in first leg vs AZ.

Lets be honest here - By March, most of his players were back and Ange had every possibility of going full strength in 2 competition...he chose not to do it.

We should try for 31 league wins and see where that takes us then...

Odds Update

Big Ange now favourite to keep his job for the coming season

*Please gamble responsibly

You could argue that Ange had the bottle them other coaches didn't have, where he actually went ahead and binned off the league games in order to win a trophy. He put all his eggs in the Europa basket and the gamble paid off.

He was laughed at and ridiculed every week. None of the other manager's you mentioned had the nerve to do that and go against all the pressure. We would have finished midtable under any of the other coaches you mentioned (at least 10 points better off), but we would have got knocked out by AZ or Frankfurt. Ange binned off all the league games around them to make sure we had our best available 11 fresh for them games and we needed them to get through. Another manager would have been too afraid to bin off the league.

You can relax now in the safety that Frank will never ever rotate players around League games. We will do all our rotation in the cup games and we'll be going all out to finish as high as we can in the league again! Who knows we might even win a top 4 trophy under Frank! You can relax again. Normality has been restored.

I have credited him with that. It doesn't take skill, talent or experience. It takes thick skin to take all the ridicule from the media and fans though. It's not sustainable though. We will be in the Champions League next season, he can't win that even with throwing the league. So 26/27 we will be out of Europe as he isn't good enough to get us to the top 5/6 again now he's been sussed out.

He was given free reign to see the season out regardless of league form. No other coach prior to this would have survived as long as he did. Better managers have, consistently, been sacked for far less.

I imagine the club desperately want Ange to do the whole mutual agreement thing and come out with some statement akin to wanting a new challenge blah blah blah. In the background he will have his contract paid up in full... however, Ange is like nah, not happening... you want me gone, then you sack me. To be fair, I don't blame him. Why give Levy the easy out but this is where Levy should just say fine and sack him if that is the direction of travel he wants to take. The procrastination kills us every summer. All our rivals seem to be ticking off their summer to do list. We haven't even written ours yet!!!

I came
I saw
I conquered
I'm off.

We need that statement to appease the simp fans.
