The fact no replacement for mason lined up would suggest that Ange is out the door.

I think a lot of people ranting about the lack of manager news aren’t appreciating the level of change going on right now.

Board members are resigning, we have a new CEO, Paratici is coming back, Mason has left, Munn will be sacked, Ange will be sacked, the medical department have already been sacked. It’s frustrating that we are in this situation but understandable that there isn’t much output from the club at the moment.

If Ange is keeping his job wouldn't the board just announce this and stop all the speculation and supporter frustration ?
It's Levy and the board that are copping all the shite for not disclosing what they are doing , so why not just announce he's staying .
Very weird to me .
If he's staying .
Agree, the only logical conclusion is that he's leaving. What they are waiting for, who knows? Maybe they want him back from the vacation so they can tell him in person. Or they are trying to seal a deal with the replacement. I don't know.

But I agree, the time it takes too communicate points towards him leaving.

I literally cannot remember a single time under Conte, Nuno, Mourinho or even as far back as Poch where we had even half as many injuries in one season as we have had in either of Ange's seasons.

We haven't.
During my time of 16 years as fan, it had never been as bad as it was in Ange 1st season. Only to be topped at 2nd season.

*now sits back to wait for apologists to come out with level of "this EPL season was derailed by injuries" that are fully ignoring reality that in first 12-14 games we had minimal injuries but still shit results*

He rushed back Romero and VDV in the Chelsea home game which was our 15th game. We were 10th then so my assumption would be that he still thought we could push on in the league if both came through that game and we got a result. As it turns out, they didn't come through that game, we didn't get a result and things got worse. I think the decision to scrap the league was probably made in early March. Look, I think we should part ways but I'm going to be objective about it and fair. Ultimately we cant lose 22 games and it wasn't just the defeats it was the manner of them that worries me.
Ok, i see what you mean. But in my opinion, he is just making it up. If you apply smarter tactics you can play with inferior players and still get results. Just look at the 16 teams above us. Most of them had inferior players. Only the relegated teams lost 22 games or more.

And, if he was going to throw the games, why not let the academy kids get game time?

Ange is a liar. He did not throw any game. He is a charlatan. The raw strength of our squad powered us through europa league. Nothing else. We were fractions away from going out or giving up our leads on multiple occasions. That happened against AZ, Frankfurt and United. There was no masterplan.

And if anyone is buying his version, then I believe another club like Spurs will move in for him. Most likely though, he's never getting any top job again.

Sensible, rational post.

I fucking hope this isn't the case though. Frank's a good manager but hardly inspiring off the back of an EL win. We'll be comfortably back up to 8th and knocked out in the quarters of all Cups, if that.

The only way this makes sense to me is Frank steadying the ship for 18 months before Poch comes back.

Hire Xavi now.
We aint paying £20 million for a manager to steady the ship until after the WC, I think Ange is staying now.

If this 17th-place loser is allowed to stay in post, it would confirm that Levy no longer has any real ambition for my club.

It does feel like its a 50/50 between keeping Ange and hiring Frank at this stage. Sounds like frank has beaten off all the other competition.

Sounds like the board have already interviewed Frank and want to give him the job. Paratici is definitely in the Frank camp anyway! While the players are very much behind Ange and probably pushing back against the board and club. We are all assuming Levy gets the final say but its hard to know if its all being left with him either. This new CEO might have a say in it too. Its rare that you get such a huge split between all the players and all the board members. Someone needs to make the decision and a lot of people won't be happy with the outcome either way.
