How many other clubs have come out issued a statement on their coach staying next season? People here acting like Spurs behaviour is outrageous.

Ange has 2 more years on his contract.
Any club where manager is blatantly in trouble.

Man Utd leaked through their channels the local MEN and the Guardian that Amorim would be staying the day after Europa final.

Leicester and Southampton relived their managers of their duties

Ipswich released a joint statement with McKenna saying was staying

Ange is literally the only PL manager where it really is unknown if will be at the club at start of next year or not (unless approaches come in for other managers down the line)

Fully expect us to use Gold, Metro and Athletic to leak/inform the fans on the status of Anges position and really should have done by now

Pretty much by definition now the top 20 revenue teams are the PL teams. A real achievement is to make the jump from yo-yo Leeds/Burnley/Southampton teams to a solid PL team. We hear it (and post it) all the time, that straight up and straight down has become much more common - and it is backed up by the data. Making that leap IS a big achievement for a club and a manager.
I agree, he did well to keep them up that first season as it is very difficult for championship clubs to stay up... but the survival achievement diminishes every season after...

For all the Thomas Frank fans, I think it's time we just agree to disagree. You guys see him as the perfect fit to take over from Ange. I see it differently. Let's move on...

If we win trophies regularly it is

The PL isn’t a competition our owners are trying to win. It’s their problem how that impacts the stadium attendance. Especially when the PL themselves are rigging PSR for certain clubs.
You cannot charge eyewatering prices for fans then tell the fans it doesn't matter anyway. We don't pay thousands of pounds for glorified training matches.

Nobody sees him as a perfect fit lmao, everyone’s just desperate to be rid of this totally shit manager even if the replacement isn’t necessarily amazing.

I think on balance Ange has been terrible.
But on balance I think he should be given the start of next season.
Because it's possible he will improve - and it's possible the new manager will also not do well.

Who we buy and who we sell is more important. For several reasons Ange should not have much of a say in that.
If he can't accept that- we should say goodbye.

Whoever the manager is, whether that’s Ange, Frank or someone else, the whole of the fanbase isn’t going to be completely happy.

Until our form turns around and we’re playing well consistently

Then we disagree. I think it is very possible to conclude Frank is a bigger chancer than Ange. You see, I have listened to Frank plenty and you're right, he comes across as someone with an air of football philosopher about him. However, when you get by the prancing he's not actually saying much at all or at least not anything I couldn't conclude myself. Having a nuanced, detailed and sophisticated approach to tactics does not make you a better manager (see Harry Redknapp). Can he motivate, will his players run through walls for him, does he feel the game and know when to make changes, can he win when it matters. All of these things are not something I am saying Ange has by the way. Also, I don't think he has overachieved at Brentford at all. They are exactly where they should be... slap bang in the middle of the PL. If anything he should have at least kicked on by now and got them into Conference League.
Fair enough if you don’t want Frank but you are chatting some absolute shite about Brentford here.

It's also possible he'll change his name to Zippo and join the circus. Not likely and there's no sign of it coming, but it's possible.

We finished 4th bottom mate. Any other club our size would have sacked the manager long ago. The fact we haven't is unprecedented and is bound to lead to huge speculation until a statement is made one way or another.
The club is encouraging unrest among the fanbase and fueling speculation in the media by remaining silent.
They are behaving disgracefully.
Also impacting the upcoming season and transfer strategy

I think you're looking at it all wrong.
Frank isn't going to win the league. Or the CL.
But 99.9% of the managers we employ aren't either.
Nor is Ange.
We just need to be better than last season.
Frank is a better all round coach than Ange, and I have no doubt, if given the grace Ange was, could have won the Europa league with us as well.

We as a club might need to play chess a bit here and think a few steps ahead. Frank to get us back up to being a top 5/6 team every season.
That's the first step. Then you look at a coach who can push on that little bit further, maybe top 3 and good shot at cups.
And then, if we have managed that for 5-6 years, you go for, and successfully attract, a generational coach.
