Did he take Brentford from League 2 to the PL. No, he took over when they were in the Championship so not sure you can claim he was responsible for lifting them from League 2 into the PL. That is just nonsense.
Go look at the revenue of the 92 football league clubs and come back and tell me where you think Brentford should be. I'll save you the trouble. There is about 10m between 10th Everton and 20th Bournemouth. They are currently 19th but have been as high as 15th. So in my book, Brentford should finish between 10th and 20th. Which is exactly what they do. He gets a few extra brownie points for avoiding 20th, 19th and 18th but they are right where they should be for a club of their size.

What a load of bollocks. Brentford only became an established PL side under Frank. It's also down to their owners and the way the club is run, but trying to make out like Brentford should be finishing where they are, is completely pissing all over what a monumental achievement it is that they are even in the PL, let alone have become established.

Brentford are a local club to me, it was a fucking pipe dream for them to even be in the Championship at one point.

I remember when they were in league one trying to get promotion to the Championship.

It's like Leyton Orient becoming a PL club, and you sit there posting they SHOULD be finishing between 10th and 20th.

The fact that Frank managed to keep them in the PL is a miracle, let alone have them consistently beating big teams and mixing it up amongst them.

Brentford are a fucking tiny club, they aren't a historic big club like a Coventry or a Middlesborough or Sheffield Wednesday.

They really have no right to be where they are. Frank has performed miracles there.

Their recruitment has been top class. Hard to know how much of that you can pin on Frank. That club is a well oiled machine from the top down.

If we're still having to explain to Angebois why Ange needs to go, then you'll NEVER get through to them.
It's not worth debating/explaining to them now.

If we all put the trolls (because that's all they are at this stage) on ignore, then we can get back to all supporting the same team as one another.

Sacking Ange is the right thing to do. Replacing him with Frank is the equivalent of trading in your shitty Ford Fiesta for an equally shitty Peugeot 205.
Not really.

It's more like trading a fun, but extremely unreliable R5 GTT with a not quite so much fun, but more reliable XR2.

Think that's the analogy we needed.

If we take the EL trophy success out of the equation just for a second, surly AP's position as our manager would not be in question, he'd be gone, right? Simply for producing the pathetic, turgid performances we have had to endure these past 18 months resulting in our worst EPL record/position ever. This is why I want Ange gone!
In the 2 seasons he has been our manager, overall this is the worst performing Premier League Spurs, in terms of style, flare, imagination and swagger, I can remember. So those that seem to be able to erase all of that just because he won a dumbed down EL trophy, again by playing "unimaginative" football, for most part, including the final, is something I'll never understand.

COYS!

How many other clubs have come out issued a statement on their coach staying next season? People here acting like Spurs behaviour is outrageous.

Ange has 2 more years on his contract.
We finished 4th bottom mate. Any other club our size would have sacked the manager long ago. The fact we haven't is unprecedented and is bound to lead to huge speculation until a statement is made one way or another.
The club is encouraging unrest among the fanbase and fueling speculation in the media by remaining silent.
They are behaving disgracefully.

Where's the fun in Ange? I must have missed those first 10 games in 2023?

You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. Brentford had serious backing in the Championship from the alignment with FC Midtjylland who were a Champions League club. They should have won the Championship the year they came up but only finished 3rd. I accept they have done well to retain their PL status but outside the big revenue giants they are one of th

I think the bollocks is spouting from you...
Brentford had serious backing in the Championship from the alignment with FC Midtjylland who were a Champions League club loaning them plenty of players. They weren't some poverty stricken club living the dream. Not even remotely close to Leyton Orient. Keeping the club with the 15th highest revenue in England in the PL is not a miracle and he does not consistently beat the big team. 48 games against the big six, 21% win ration. He consistently loses against the big teams but beats enough of the shit to survive. If you think that is good enough for us then crack on. We need to move forward from Ange, not sideways or backwards.

I mean, that's all we've been for the last two years. All this "easy on the eye beautiful football" everyone goes on about is a myth. Watching us try and play football is tedious.
This is a significant reason for me to want a change of manager.

Ange's reign has been tedious and I've honestly gone into the vast majority of games this previous season expecting to lose. That's a massive red flag.

Pretty much by definition now the top 20 revenue teams are the PL teams. A real achievement is to make the jump from yo-yo Leeds/Burnley/Southampton teams to a solid PL team. We hear it (and post it) all the time, that straight up and straight down has become much more common - and it is backed up by the data. Making that leap IS a big achievement for a club and a manager.
