This is pathetic.

I have a season ticket to Charlton Athletic Football club & this morning I got an Email...

A newly promoted Championship Football Club has better comms to it's supporters than fukkin Spurs...

============================================================================================

Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that men’s first-team Manager Nathan Jones has signed a new five-year contract with the club, committing his future to the Addicks until the summer of 2030.

Since joining Charlton in February 2024, Jones has overseen significant progress both on and off the pitch, instilling a clear identity and helping to build a strong foundation for long-term success.

After steering the club away from the relegation zone in 2023/24, Jones guided the Addicks to promotion from Sky Bet League One in his first full campaign in charge.

Nathan Jones said: "I'm very proud and delighted. I still had three years left but for the club to come to me and want to continue that journey meant a lot to me because it's a club that I love. We've just taken one big step, but that's only one big step, we still have a long way to go to achieve our goals and I'm glad that I'll continue to work towards that."

Club Chairman Gavin Carter said: "We have a really cohesive group forming at Charlton - from the players and coaching staff to the wider team behind the scenes and of course our supporters. Nathan has been a key part of that unity and our success on the pitch this season means we are ahead of schedule in our long-term planning for the club. Nathan understands the values of this club and shares our ambition for where we want to go. We’re thrilled to have him on board for the long-term.”

Managing Director James Rodwell added: "Nathan has done an incredible job since returning to the club last year. His leadership has been crucial in developing a culture and structure that has enabled us to progress. His vision, energy and commitment to the club are clear to see, and we’re delighted he’ll be leading us forward. This long-term commitment enables us to plan, creates stability and allows us to develop a strategy that can only benefit the football club."
What are you waiting for Spurs to announce?

Shows your breed.

Missing my point.

The fact it's radio silence from Spurs is a joke.
The club still has no clear plan a week into the summer, and would seem to be lackadaisically sounding out options knowing they don't really want to keep the manager, but may be bored into it.

Should we return the man who brought us the most losses in our history, or should we hire one of these basically competent fellows even if they don't seem to just have descended from on high? Eh, perhaps we can see if doing an ETH will work for us.

This is a poor and unserious look for a big club.

What do you want them to report? If hes sacked, they'll announce it. If hes not, there's nothing to announce.
I don't think there's anything to read into that announcement. It's "nothing coming tonight". Black smoke wafting from the cockerel atop the Lane, if you will

But much like players, there are some truly bad ones with trophies.

Before Kane won his first trophy this season, would you say Wes Brown was a better player having won 11?

Completely different scenario and discussion.

The question was about exclusivity. Ange is part of an exclusive group and that is just a fact outside of whether or not he is as good or as consistent a manager as others in or outside of rhe group.
