However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place. Following a positive start in the 2023/24 Premier League (PL) season, we recorded 78 points from the last 66 PL games. This culminated in our worst-ever PL finish last season. At times there were extenuating circumstances - injuries and then a decision to prioritise our European campaign. Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club’s greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph.

It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond.
Very good and very positive that the Board has said these things. It's precisely what many of us have been saying for a long time now.

Subtract the initial bounce, and things have been absolutely dire under Ange.

The results this year were poor, and the direction is pointed toward worse. Things were unravelling rapidly the second half of this season.

They do not consider the injury crisis to excuse the results under Ange.

They don't feel Ange's style allows the club to compete on multiple fronts, aka, they blame Ange's style, his inflexibility, and his management of players at least in part for the injury crisis.

This is all good. The Board has, at least today, been acting and sounding like it wishes to sit atop a serious football club.

Brilliant that a decision has been made. Thank you Ange for everything. I'll be forever grateful for that night in Bilbao. You left your mark on the club!

Now onwards and upwards. Hopefully we hire the new manager soon and can kick on as one. It probably was the right decision. A tough decision but the right one I think. Too many bad results last year. It'll be sad to see Romero leave too but guess it's another rebuild on the horizon.

Season 3....

Gosh you need to get those Dogs on TV. Make sure they carry their Ange out Banner. Cause any half intelligent being would know what's Good for them.

Just know, that may mean they going to show you up big time. Cause if they know more than me about football, they really gonna make you look Thicker than a Barn Door.

You know the saying "Far be it from me to ever let my common sense get in the way of your stupidity. Keep moving Brother Man, Keep Moving."

yeah - good one
even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Spurs just get back on the same roundabout
the same donkeys will be screaming for the next manager to get dumped the minute it all turns pearshaped

A fiver says there's thread about sacking his replacement by christmas

Look at every successful club, what did they have - continuity of management.

We've had 15 different people in charge in the last 25 years - and one of them was in for 20% of it.
No point telling you though

You know everything

and nothing

Nice statement from Ange.

It's a bittersweet moment IMO. He gave me probably the happiest single moment as a Spurs fan, but he also gave me the hardest premier league season I've had to endure.

For once, I have sympathy with Levy. It's a tough decision, but it's the right decision.

Absolutely the right decision. Grateful to him for the Europa League, but my God the football that we played in the PL was embarrassing.

At least the club has not made the same mistake that United made with Ten Hag and acted decisively. Now the new man can help mold the squad this summer rather than letting a coach who would've been sacked by november get involved.

Oh, and now maybe some of the Ange fanboys will fuck off too. That's the biggest silver lining to me 😃.
