the super cup would be a treble in my eyes
I don't agree with the expletive but deary me, some fans. Weird.
doesn't that totally undermine your own argument? No, after the summer window I thought we'd have a shite season. Not a bad prediction. EL a great surprise
You see I think it's more the 17th and record number of defeats and poor league form stretching back 15 months that got him sacked rather than the winning something part.. But could be wrong.Win something at spurs you get sacked …. You don’t win anything you get sacked.
If anyone can sell this, it’s Levy though.
I mean saying you voted Brexit because you didn't enjoy watching us get smashed most weeks is one of the worst takes I've seen, and considering some of the megabrains on here that takes some doing.Imagine sacking our most successful manager in the premier league era to install Thomas Frank.
The Ange out brigade can live with this shit. Fucken Reform voting English morons. You cunts love a bit o self harm
I dont think we should be celebrating, just another bad appointment by Levy who should go next but, that wont happenI'm not going to celebrate him leaving. He brought us a cup, which is a huge achievement.
That said, aside from the cup win the season was not acceptable in any manner, and I've had no confidence that next season would be any better.
If Levy had any shame he's be one of the next dominoes to fall and accept his role in it as well, but at least a larger shake up would show that it wasn't just Ange and that results like that aren't okay.
Love how you left the 38 points in 38 games part and finished 17th.Win something at spurs you get sacked …. You don’t win anything you get sacked.
If anyone can sell this, it’s Levy though.
First of all, I'm pretty sure I'd be 100% about any of the prem or even the elite managers leading us to silverware, despite your cute attempt to box me in.
You asked me who'd be a competent manager I'd get behind, and I'd get behind any of them, that doesn't mean I 100% expect them to lead us to silverware but I understand why you've gone down that route despite the olive branch I offered you.
That's because you seem to care more about Angelos Postecoglou and your evaluation of him than you do the future of the club.
That's because it seems you care more about your internet points than you do about the club.
Don’t worry there’ll be a Frank out thread just shortly
I agree. The players are nowhere near as bad as they have seemed at times this season. A change of manager and tactics will hopefully mean that some of our better players like VDV may actually have a chance to fulfil properly their potential without constantly getting injured.Forever grateful and loved how the guy stuck up for us, but also glad he's gone, 2 things can be true, I don't want us in a relegation fight, we have good players that if coached well will improve, he's set good foundations
There was speculation for over a week while he had obviously already made up is mind. Compounded by reports we are buying Levy style prospects before he has even appointed a manager. Nothing to worry about though. How should it have been done?
just not tell anyone and let the random new guy emerge from the tunnel on the first games of next season?
Liverpool fan here!
Bit surprised to see that everyone seems to be on board with the decision to sack him. I liked the bloke and thought he played good football.
Imagine saying Ange is our most successful manager in the PL era when he's just overseen the worst finish we've ever had.I mean saying you voted Brexit because you didn't enjoy watching us get smashed most weeks is one of the worst takes I've seen, and considering some of the megabrains on here that takes some doing.
Well done.
Apart from the first ten games, I don't really think we played particularly good football apart from the odd game here and there. I can see why our games were entertaining from a neutral point of view but as a Spurs fan it was mostly just painful watching us being so open and fragile.Liverpool fan here!
Bit surprised to see that everyone seems to be on board with the decision to sack him. I liked the bloke and thought he played good football. The league season has been dreadful but I thought the context was obvious. He came from a 41 game season last year finishing within 2 points of top 4 to playing a 60 game season with Solanke and a couple new kids as reinforcements. The injuries and the proceeding dip in performance seemed pretty expected. The actual finish sort of vindicates it enough where I thought he deserved a fair crack with enough reinforcements this time around. Its completely normal to me that a squad having to play 50% more games will suffer if they dont recruit well.
No idea if there were other issues but I was surprised so I wanted to see how the Spurs fans felt and the reaction seems to just confuse me that bit more.
Either way, good luck on your next manager recruitment!
