I keep reading this sort of comment.

1. We haven't appointed Frank.

2. It's the Football we play under him, if he's hired, that should inspire, not the name or where he's come from.

Whoever we get, here's a novel idea, how about we give him the opportunity to make his mark before writing him off? Surely the least we can do as supporters is support?
Hey get out of here with your sensible comments!

And if he’d done it straight after the parade to piss on the vibe or when he was on holiday that would have been wrong too!

If it was a unanimous board decision why would he be the one to be quoted as it looks like it’s solely his call?

Honestly, it’s grabbing at every little straw to beat the club with just because you don’t agree with Ange getting the bullet!
This was the only reasonable time to do it.

Imagine sacking him the day after winning the title? Those 225k fans in Tottenham would have torched the place!

All these people and media saying it should have been dealt with straight away are talking shit and going mad. If they'd done it straight away it would have been worse, imagine sacking him the day after. The club did 100% the right decision by delaying it for 2 weeks. The guy was on holiday and deserved his chance for a rest as well. I really like Ange and his ideas/philosophy, but I 100% know the right decision has been taken (as well as at the right timing).

100%. Guarantee you there's a timeline where people who think it was a bad decision now would call it a bad decision in retrospect if we stuck with him.

I'd love to see how many people fit into the 'this' intersection below who can't see the irony of it when looking at the likes of Ten Hag and, to a certain extent, Ramos.

Ange got to keep his "second season" thing and a wedge of cash, we got a European cup, and now we go our separate ways. He looked really ill from the stress of being baffled as to why his approach wasn't working.

No good would have come from continuing.

To be honest Mrs P, I think it's for the best from his perspective. As magical as the night in Bilbao ended up, it would have been an extreme longshot to expect us to magically improve tenfold after a preseason following arguably the worst League campaign in our history.

He now gets to leave with at least part of his legacy untarnished.

I've taken no joy from the news, but I think it's the right decision, as I don't think we'd have got any better and he'd have been hounded out with the EL win a more distant memory.

He now gets to sit in the company of Bill Nic and the General as the only Spurs Managers to bring us European glory, and won't have a terrible following season to tarnish it.

I genuinely like the bloke and truly hope he goes onto further success. Unfortunately, it won't be with us.
Lets be honest, we had 2 good performances against Frankfurt and beat AZ alkmaar, Bodo Glimt and the worst Man Utd side in living memory by a goal.

Its great we won. But next season would have been a write off as well.

💯

Absolutely.

He has my full, unwavering commitment.

Until the first loss then I'm unleashing hell :ange-arms:

To quote your Venn diagram:

I keep seeing people say we're a cup team, or want to be one. This year:

Fa cup, extra time to beat Tamworth, lost to Villa. First decent team we faced beat us.

Carabao, beat man City and man utd, humiliated by Liverpool. Man City result a good one.

Europa league, win. We cannot retain this. We beat second/third rate sides and got a couple of good results against Frankfurt. You can only beat what's in front of you and we did that. I have no problem with winning it obviously. But we are not winning the champions league.

What cups are we banking on next season to carry on us being a 'cup Team?'

The league, we finished 17th, pretty much our worst season in every metric. Do the same this year because we've already proved we can't fight on multiple fronts, and no Europe the following season because we won fuck all, but the players still love playing under the manager we have a chance to progress, we have to take it.

Again, thanks for the Europa Ange, and I truly do wish him the best in his career, I don't dislike the guy. But he is not the man to elevate us from here.
Frank is not the man to elevate us either.
