It's my personal belief that facing such an incredibly weak line-up in the EL, it would have made no difference at all if he had put much more into the 2nd half of the season...We'd have won it anyway...he was concentrating on his own glory, not ours whilst he allowed the team to slide right down...shameful..unprofessional .....egotistical... Honestly, such arguments were often from fans of the losing team. Incredible some of our fans kept coming out with these IFs and BUTs when we were the victorious one. We not only could have but SHOULD have performed better in the PL, even despite a correct focus on the EL. I think we actually agree. Ange was judged on the full body of work and rightly so.
I just bristle against taking our EL successes for granted.

Yes we won, but are not talking that though are we. We are talking about our performance that game, and to a lesser extent the rest of the season.
