Yes it's amazing how grown adults have the ability to change their viewpoint when new evidence comes to light or when you see things from an entirely different perspective, yon should try it
I've read comments by Spurs fans on other platforms and there are far more positive ones about him than there are on this platform.
The opinions here are far too polarized. There is some middle ground
The second season league result was sackable and even he has basically admitted it.
But getting fifth in the first season exceeded expecations given the context when he came into the job-he lost Kane who was worth at least a few places higher for Conte, and Maurinho, on the eve of the season kick off.
The injuries hobbled the second half of the first season and continued into the second- Gray and Davies as the CB pairing is bottom of the table level of defense. He said his methods cause injuries, yet he refused to adapt.
He took a more defensve approach in the Europa because he didn't have enough fit players yet persisted with his open style in the league where 3 or 4 more wins may have saved his job.
We played well in the Europa and got good wins against good opposition, but played poorly in the final due to players missing. We won it because we wanted it more than the opposition and he can take credit for that. His career success in finals is extraordinary.
Champions League qualification was and remains the realistic ceiling for this club, and we were never getting that through the league, even with a fit sqaud (look at our last game FFS). Yet here we are in it. Thanks to him.
He left us with a European trophy that we waited four decades for, something that has only happened on 3 other occasions in 142 years.
How anyone can feel visceral hate for him is beyond me.

And yes, we was lucky, we got an easier path to the final than ManU, with only Frankfurt being a team of any quality in the knock out rounds, and we did a good a job there. Yeah we faced Roma, but we drew with them at home, after going 2-0 up, and I honestly think we wouldn't have beaten them over 2 legs. We drew with Rangers in another poor performance, got beaten by Galatasaray and the first leg to AZ.
ManU were so lucky to get pass Lyon, and what happened to Bilbao, they just crumbled and never showed up.
Anyway, enough of this, it's not going anywhere, and your just twisting and moving the goal posts... And I have more importnant things to do that waste my time on some who can;t debate and chat honestly.

But we didn't crumble. We showed up. And that's the key when it comes to winning finals.
Postecoglou's career was shaped by a culture where finals winners - not first past the post-are crowned Champions. I've witnessed many very talented teams across different codes crumble on the day of the final. His record in finals is second to none. He knows what it takes to win finals. And he did it again, wasn't pretty, but there's no medal for that.
Honestly, such arguments were often from fans of the losing team. Incredible some of our fans kept coming out with these IFs and BUTs when we were the victorious one. Playing down the team or hating that man I don't know, it's truly weird. United had their chances. They were shitter that day. End of.
It was two poor teams (thanks to both managers) and we were slightly less shit than them. In the build up to the game I posted many times that I was confident we’d win. The fact Romero and VDV were fit and playing meant we had the two best players on the pitch. In my mind, if they played we’d win and we’d get a goal (probably through a johnson or Solanke) that would be enough. However, there is no point belittling the achievement. That’s just bizarre for a spurs fan and probably just reflective of people falling back into the negative Spursy mindset that opposing fans and the media like to hit us with. It’s not particularly helpful for building a positive mindset going into this season.

I think you could be right. I say that after seeing who his assistant coaches were going to be, and then and watching videos of his first training session with the players. Their keeper was passing short, and the defenders were playing through a press; and attacks based on quick one touch passing. We've seen all this before and its been found wanting.
