Loving him did not prevent them from setting a record for losses, and for performing similarly to this year's side.
We would have been in a scrap last year if the relegated teams had not been so poor. Our current point total would have seen us safe last year, and there are 9 games to go

When the Back 5 were playing together our results were comfortably Top 6 in the league. And won a EL trophy beating Bodo Glimpt, Frankfurt and Untied on the way.
There is ZERO chance we'd have been this poor under Postecoglou given the defence has been largely available this season. And there's no reason other than a complete collapse of confidence and belief that we shouldn't have enough to get out of this relegation fight.
But you have to have belief and confidence. Everything starts with that.

Think nobody really ignores that - you seem to be one of those who really couldn't understand the exact rationale why Ange keeps popping back but constantly berating and abusing anyone who talks about him, even at the expense of insulting one's body weight just to make yourself appear smart and correct.
Every single Spurs fan knew about the 17th and 22 losses. Now the discussion was mainly about his ability to motivate players and getting them over the line, something which we badly lacked and needed in the final 9 league games.

My comment was a response to a statement that said: 'Atletico are a level and class ahead of any Europa side he managed against.'
I made no comment about our league form last season.
I made no comment about Postecoglou.
I simply pointed out that we had beaten some decent sides in last season's Europa run, including Bodo Glimt, who this season have beaten Athletico, Inter, City, and Sporting.
Along with the overwhelming majority of our fans, I took enormous pleasure in winning a prestigious trophy after so many years of failure so to do. I am at a loss to understand why some fans shit on those of us who express our joy at that win.
But they had. And everybody (including Ange) knew it. Which allowed us to concentrate on the EL without having to care about relegation. And everybody asked for it. And later they forgot.

There isn't one serious person who believes they would have performed well in the league if not for Europa. They were shit long before the final stages of Europe. They were dire the entire year. Did not matter who was available. Ridiculous to claim the league performance dropped only at the end.
