If its all about your very simplistic way of looking at things there should have been no debate about Anges future in the summer then? And yet he got the sack.

I never downplay us winning a trophy or say it isnt a great achievement for our history books. I am judging the manager and his involvement in the whole thing. And just because he won a trophy with us I don't see him as any sort of manager-wizard and its all about how we go forward.

Its like saying Roberto di Matteo is a manager genious for winning the CL with Chelsea against Bayern Munich and achieved something, Conte or Mourinho couldn't do at Chelsea. He did well but also got lucky because he could never recreate some sort of similiar success in his managerial career.

I always said thanks Ange for the trophy, you gambled and win here and gave us a brillant moment but still think he is not what we need ever again. It is maybe a judgement for people who have more than a Ange good or Ange bad view.

No it's not because no-one is making this argument apart from you, this is the 2nd time you've used words like 'genius' and 'messiah' and 'wizard'? Tell me when exactly have I used these terms about Ange? why do you keep doing this?

And no it's not like Di Matteo at all because Ange has won trophies everyone he's been at so he obviously has a knack to winning, again something that our previous managers have failed to achieve, these are the facts, why are you trying to argue against factual evidence?

Bringing back a guy who played a key role in creating this rancid losing culture where it's ok to lose premier league matches on a regular basis would just be yet another humiliating cringefest in a season full of them
We have 29 points from 29 games.

Last year Ange collected 38 points from 38 games.

And sinking to that level required this year's side to go on a run of 2 points from the last 10!

He is not the answer to any question but a stupid one!

Exactly where is the bleedin madness in all this?

Everything the club does is wrong

It's not about what I want

It's my firm belief that there isn't a manager in world football that could keep this shower of shit afloat

The club gave up in January

Yeah but I'm sure you want to give this club at least a fighting chance of staying up, no?

So we are discussing the best chance the club has, clearly our injury sit will not get any better for the time being so the best step is to change manager as Tudor isn't cutting it obviously.

The most logical thing the club can do in this instance is bring in a manager who we know the players will respond to and at least put some fucking effort in and massage their ego's. We know there's not many options on the market and we know that these players will play for Ange so I don't see why it's a wild suggestion?

We can't just give up and accept our fate, sorry that's loser talk, we need to do something, anything and IMO Ange is probably the most likely to get something out of these guys, I know people don't like him or rate him but we are literally gambling our hopes on PL survival and our future - we can't be picking and choosing right now just because of emotions and feelings towards Ange.

I don't see many other places to turn to, do you?

You say I downplay us winning a trophy. Why you do keep doing this? I am not, I am just saying I don't believe Ange is all that.

Well lets Ange do it again in a major league. I am not so much impressed by trophies won for Celtic or Yokohama ffs.
He has a knack of winning? Fuck sake he hasnt showed that in 54 of his 101 games he managed us (Take away his brillant start and it looks even worse). If van de Ven does not clear it off the line properly, if Shaw doesnt get somehow the ball in his own net, if the last minute chance of Man United goes a few inch to the right and in... thats not something that has to do with his "knack to winning". Its game luck. We had it and should be happy about it. No one is taking away his and our moment that day, there is just enough evidence he is not very good at this level of football.

I loved by the way his knack of winning at Nottingham or in the national cups with us, primed with an overtime at Tamworth followed by hopeless defeat against Villa or the slaughter at Anfield Road in the League Cup.

I'd rather bring back Sherwood than Ange, thats how desperate and low our level is.

Ange will get diddly squat out of these players

There's nothing to get out of them

We are done

Besides there is zero chance he'd come back if offered

If if if if, you're speculating mate, speculative arguments are pointless.

I deal with reality not make believe, the guy won us a trophy, there's actual real images of him holding up a trophy at Tottenham, call it luck all you wish if it makes you cope better.

But anyway just saw your last line, respectfully let's leave it there then shall we :D

Nah, Maddison already came out and put that nonsense to bed, they wouldn't have won without him and it's clear their effort levels have dropped this season because he's not around to oversee it.

I mean if they were 'fighting for themselves' last season then where's the fight gone this season, seems tk have magically worn off?

I think Ange os genuinely a flawed manager who is too stubborn for his own good but it's actually laughable to suggest that this lot wouldn't put up a fight fot him at this stage.
You're blatantly ignoring the fact that for the 66 matches after his flying 10 match start, Ange was the worst performing league Tottenham manager in the past 90 years until Frank.

If they were so in love with him and fighting for him, why didn't they fight more in the league over those 18 months? If they hadn't been so shit (just as shit as they are now) Ange would still be here.

All the flowers they gave him were parting presents. No need to twist the dagger once its stuck in. Maddison, especially, was being left out of the team and clearly feuding with Ange. Romero and plenty others were notably unhappy.

This idea that anyone wasn't happy to see Ange go is 100% revisionist based on the disaster that this season has been. But, again, it is not notably worse than the last 18 months of Ange.

We were 1.0 point/match last season. We are 1.0 point/match this season.

I just don't get why anyone thinks Ange is different from that record. You're just suffering from "the grass is greener on the other side" syndrome.

We lost the majority of those matches because his tactics were flawed, he played naive and didn't look at the finer details and was too stubborn to change anything, it wasn't to do with the players putting in little effort for him.

There's no need to move the goalposts now, this was continually put out there almost every day when he was our manager and it was repeated many times in here, no-one said anything about players giving up or not pulling their weight, in fact the narrative was wait until we get a manager who coaches our players and a manager with some actual tactics and our players will improve and the team will get better, look how that turned out lol

People keep saying the players loved him..I saw no evidence of this on the pitch...

Some have a fetish for the last manager.

I think its rooted in protest/blaming of the ownership/chairman, which is 100% fair, but its been going on since at least Harry. Probably Jol. The immediately preceding manager is always lionized after he's gone. Just "its not his fault, look what he's had to work with" getting carried a couple of steps too far.

AVB is the only real exception, but he was followed by Poch so no surprise there.
