Unlike many on here I go to every home game, and have to pay handsomely for the privilege. Asking for the people who made much of the previous two seasons a misery on here because of their derangement to show some fucking accountablility for stuff like this:

Is not "salivating", it's righteous fucking fury.

Yes, it’s the fault of people who were angry we were 17th and lost 22 games in a season. Boo those guys. So much derangement that Ange’s next BIG move was to go to relegation fighting forest.

At that time we were seeing a clear improvement in how the team were setting out. I was wrong on frank. Unlike the cultists I can admit when I was wrong about a coach and when he’s failed. Frank failed. Ange failed. It’s ok to think both.

Ange has won one game of his last 19 in the premier league with two separate clubs in separate conditions. There are no more excuses for how bad he is.

Fine. But don't come in here saying this thread should be closed or whatever when there's loads of Spurs fans who like celebrating trophies and trophy winning managers. You don't have to come in here.

And you certainly have no fucking right to deny other Spurs fans who do want to come here to post approvingly. Just stay away - but you can't. Like a moth to flame. All of you keep doing it. It's bizarre.

People aren’t celebrating trophies lmao, they’re baiting by pretending Man City would want him or begging Spurs to hire him back. It’s just a cult worship thread.

Hiring him was the catastrophic decision.

Yes that 5th place finish getting us into the European competition that we subsequently won was infinitely more catastrophic than what you wanted which is his sacking and our subsequent imminent relegation from the Premier League.

Do you have any idea how insane you look posting this stuff right now. Given our circumstances?

It was like a boxing match between two old boxers who were past their best and just there to slog out a bit of extra cash for retirement, our guy got a lucky punch that decided the bout.
It's not uncommon for finals to be shit games of football and that one against Utd ranks among the very worst. I'd rather have watched two sloths on a first date. Nice result though.

He should have been sacked in his first season, the form from December onwards was terrible.(i was actually an advocate for giving him time, it was the wrong thing to do in hindsight.)

We should never have hired him,
It was the most unserious football decision this club has made in the last 2 decades adding Thomas Frank to the club continued our downfall.

Mate, you're just yet another guy labouring under the delusion that the Chef is more important than the ingredients. Conte and Mourinho couldn't get us playing any better than what Postecoglou did in his time and they had prime Kane and Son.

I would have thought that the events of this season would have been enough show even the most stubborn of supporters what the real issue is at Spurs and has been for years - the quality (or lack of it) of the playing squad.

The most "unserious football decision this club has made in the last 2 decades" was the Summer 2024 Transfer window and it - not any of the managers we've hired - is the reason we are going to be relegated.

So if it's all the same to you, I and others will continue to post approvingly in the thread dedicated to a manager who somehow managed to scrape a European trophy with this motley collection of misfits. As always if you don't like the guy, you really don't have to ever look in this thread.

Regardless of how you feel about him as a manager, we would not have won the Europa League last year were it not for him.

I assume the usual suspects will jump on that statement. To be clear, I'm not talking about the quality of the competition for the trophy. It is undeniable that Postecoglou gambled everything on winning that trophy. I doubt very much that any other manager would have done that and, as the trophy drought prior to last season shows, if you try to seriously compete on all fronts you end up, more often than not, with nothing. Especially with the threadbare squad we had at the time.

So, I say again, we would not have won the Europa League were it not for him.

i think if we were in the Europa league this season we will still have a very good chance of winning it.

Im not taking anything away from him winning it, he/players done well but Him "sacrificing the league" isn't fooling me he wasn't good enough and the floor of this club got lowered while he was here.

The whole point of the europa & conference league is to give the motley crew of misfits a continental competition ffs.

If you think the Sevilla, Villarreal, Frankfurt etc teams who won it recently were anything but a poorly assembled group of players on a shoestring, think again.

We were literally joint favourites going in to the competition and most definitely had the 2nd highest wage bill and transfer spend in the entire competition. We then chucked our entire season in to it, it’s not fucking heroic.

Sevilla have won it 5 times recently. FIVE. Sevilla. Mostly from being too rubbish to get out a champions league group. They’re the dictionary definition of broke Spanish side who take any player who will sign a contract and is cheap. Man’s talking like Ange won the World Cup with Trinidad & Tobago.

Frankfurt won it the season they finished 11th in the Bundesliga. In a final against bloody Rangers. I promise you that you can enjoy us breaking the trophy duck without feeling a need to big up the europa.

More like the other fighter accidentally knocked himself out :vdvcry:
