They can & do all the time. The Europa league has been won loads of times by teams who don’t deprioritise. Forest are currently in a relegation battle yet managed to navigate to a quarter final. Villa in a top 4 race, yet the same.

That’s very different to the old attitude to the competition we had which was play the reserves because this is absolute shite. Which was basically the attitude Conte had towards it, get knocked out ‘cos this is pointless distracting garbage.

It’s the attitude our fans had towards Europa mostly when we were fighting for proper stuff like a premier league title.

So have you. Why are you still here? You’ve flooded the thread recently. Amazingly I haven’t mentioned it until right now because I couldn’t give a fuck where you post nor am I going to go through your posting histories to find break down ratios in here to prove some meaningless point.

I’ve already given my view on that. It wasn’t met with screeching cultists so I left it there. That’s usually how forums work where the most controversial topics/threads are the busiest.

It was the same in the old ENIC thread. You’re not the same to come up with this incredibly interesting and unique point.

Well there's a few reasons for this.

1) I like and admire Postecoglou despite his many flaws for several reasons the main one being Bilbao. This is the thread for those of us who do feel this way can converse.

2) We are in danger of relegation and it's interesting to revisit the decision to sack him in that context.

3) I do think he should be considered as an interim and think that's an interesting discussion given the state we find ourselves in. But I thought I'd spare Deranger blusahes from pushing it too hard in the main baord threads (didn't work - all the fucking Derangers live here for god only knows what obsessive reasons :D )

4) I am between jobs - and given I already WFH - I now have a lot of time right now to focus on Tottenham related subjects.

5) One of those subjects I'm particularly interested in, right now, FOR OBVIOUS FUCKING REASONS is just how badly the Derangers fucked up; just how abusive and toxic they were while fucking everything up; and given I've been trudging to WHL and Madrid and beyond to watch us getting fucked for 6 months, I'm in the mood to give zero fucks anymore. I put you on notice that if you guys keep coming here with your shit I will push back.

And if that includes posting your own words and posting history on here to expose just how full of shit you all are - I will do so.

I've always tried to have a civil discussion with you because I think you're better than this and have interesting takes on stuff when you're not being Deranged. But right now I consider this thread my safe space while we contemplate the horror of the relegation YOUR choices have brought on us - but you people don't get to bully this space any more. Not without push back.

I have no idea why you’ve listed your reasons. I genuinely couldn’t give a fuck. It’s an internet forum, choose whatever thread you want to post in.

You’re welcome to keep pushing back. Equally if people continue to post what I consider to be absolute nonsense and continue to outright quote me on it, I will reply to them.

It’s not our choices, not a single person here runs spurs. Ange’s job was doomed long before the season ended because finishing 17th was always going to be considered beyond bad compared to prior seasons.

Literally nobody has “bullied” this space as there has always been two sides. You’re not an avenger.

It would be better for you too. 8% of the forum wants the guy back (mostly Aussies btw by breaking the poll down) so this is just a fringe thread full of those same people demanding a return to the good old days which didn’t really exist.

Asking rhetorical questions to make a point isn’t something I invented and cherry picking it from a post which made it clear it wasn’t an actual question is the deranged thing here.

It’s not Postecoglou. It’s his mental disciples I have issue with. Some seem to have hung around the forum like a bad smell just awaiting for his return. They flood this thread with demands for his return. They blatantly enjoy us losing because they feel it makes ange looks good.

My guy, unlike you I go and watch Spurs at not inconsiderable expense. The idea that I "enjoy our losses" for the reasons you describe could only come from someone who thinks in such diseased and poisonous ways.

I didn't post in this thread for 5 months because we had a new manager and I moved on. That is what normal people do. Whta did you do in that 5 months?

Well for 250,000 Tottenham fans and millions who weren't at the parade, and for the players, it certainly wasn't absolutely shite and distracting garbage. The emotion was real for every single one of them. For our players, even stalwarts like Son, it likely will end up as the the highlight of their club careers.

Of course the CL ranks higher, but given our dearth of trophies, ANY trophies, ought to be valued.

I was overcome by my own reaction to the parade ; I wasn’t expecting that kind of turnout and the sheer exhilaration of seeing so many fellow supporters of all generations. Many of whom have never been lucky enough to actually see the team play in the flesh . The positive energy was extraordinary.

The Club should have ridden that wave but , bewilderingly , chose not to .

He clearly stated that he spoke to the squad about binning the league for the cup. About them getting their pictures on the wall to go with the old black and white ones. That they’ll get pelters from everyone because their league form was going to be shit but it’ll be worth it when they win the cup.
Have not heard one player come out and say that wasn’t the case.

So I would say it had everything to do with him.

This would be the most unprofessional conversation a manager could possibly have with his premier league players and no argument I could make against him could ever be half as strong as his own deranged fanbase thinking he said it and that it would be ok.
