I don't reckon he was intentionally mugging us off.

Just seemed a little pissed that he was playing well yet "being forced out" just because Madrid wanted a new toy.

He is just a shit Lamela anyway...

What he doesnt say though is that the kick in the ass they gave him made him play like he really was worth his money, last season he was often mediocre and absent. This season he has been a lot more present when called upon and by far the best player on the pitch for RM in the CL final. But maybe Ancelotti is a better coach for him than JM was.

Oh and lets not kidd ourselves, going from Real to Spurs if you're not a lifelong spurs fan is a step down and as a pro player you'd consider a lot of clubs (CL clubs) before taking the risky career choice of going to a club in constant turbulence that plays EL.

This. The fans are making too much out of it. What he's saying is that despite his best efforts to earn a place in one of the biggest sides in world he then hears he's being offers to non CL teams and it feels disheartening as if he's not good enough for Madrid. Swap us for any other non-CL team and the meaning is the same.

Fucking media really are utter cunts. Sick of the pandering to those fucking yukking fucking morons down the road. One cunt selectively quotes and mis translates and then every fucking shit house fucking gossip mag style moose knuckle website with it's fucking mongoloid reporters copy pastes it verbatim.

Did they run out of Piers Morgan tweets and selfies today?

Fergie stormed out when he didn't like the agenda being spun by the media, and I say- fair play to him. This is why I think 2 Poch shouldn't respond without his translator. We could use a filter. They obviously like to have a dig at us, and sometimes enough media negativity can seep through into supporters and squads. Remember over the last 4-5 seasons we've finished above city, chelsea, united, and Liverpool - yet we've just been told we're no bigger than villa. Journalists are becoming irrelevant with social media, and the only way to get noticed is by talking shit and spinning lies. They can all eat a herpes infected cock.

Some managers play the media like Mourinho, others get tired of the inane questions media ask, some get tongue tied and/or talk bullshit like TS, others don't talk much at all. The point about the social media above is very valid, now the journos have to earn their money or get found out, which is often the latter.

It's been misquoted. Don't let wanky little Gooner Trolls take over your lives..

Feeds: Angel di Maria Real Madrid Tottenham

0Comments

An interview by Angel Di Maria with Marca has gone viral in England due to one specific quote.

This is the quote doing the rounds in England today, which paints Tottenham in a pretty poor light:

“It hurts when you’re doing your best and then you hear that you might be going to Tottenham.”

With Di Maria having played superbly for Real Madrid this season and voted man of the match in the Champions League final, you can understand why many Woolwich fans and others are having a good laugh at Spurs today.

But, Spanish speakers have suggested that the nuance of the quote has been lost in translation with Di Maria instead complaining about the constant media speculation.

After all, when Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid, there were many reports that Di Maria would move to Spurs in part exchange.

A more accurate translation of the interview, via @spurspanyol is below:

Marca: Did you see yourself leaving Madrid at any moment?”

Angel Di Maria: “They (the media) say a lot of things and sometimes you think too much about them and it hurts when you are giving your all for the club. Things come out like ‘he’s going to Tottenham,’ or ‘he’s staying.’ These are difficult times for a player. It’s difficult to detach yourself (from the speculation). I was calm as I knew I wanted to continue with Madrid.”

Even reading the standard article, it's obvious he wasn't digging out Spurs. Anyone who reads it that way either didn't get past the trolling headline or is looking to take offence. Yet more inane gash in the world of football debate
