It's who we are mate
Traditional? Wanker. FFS, put that shit in context. Or have you forgotten?

I'm not a happy-clapper or ange-out (he needs another few months at least), but constantly seeing this shit in my feed from supposed 'spurs fans' is really pissing me off.

Firstly, we held goons to draw at their place. That was with full-strength squad. Fair enough.

The chav game was a total freak of nature where we lost 4 of our best players. Also, Chavs bought 1.2 billion of players and they were mostly better than ours. You can't manage your way out of that.

We played Spam with a fucked first team a few weeks later and they took advantage and won their cup final.

Roll on to Spring and we played them again at theirs and took a point. Meh.

Then we played goons at ours and they beat us by 1 goal, while almost winning the league (and were a far better side for the most part of the season).

Then we played Chavs at theirs and we never win there, so we didn't. Poch + 1.2 billion squad + Bridge != win.

Now we've played goons again at ours and lost by 1, with even the goons saying it was a smash and grab.

So please, what the actual fuck are Spurs fans trying to say with this shit?

If you're happy spreading misery during the tough times, then fuck off, you're not helping anyone.

I watched the Birmingham v Wrexham game last night (both undefeated at that point) and the team, style and tactics Chris Davies has put into that Brummies side in such a short while is outstanding.

They blew Wrexham away playing expansive, possession based football.

Levy would do well to keep an eye on him, as if that side continue in this form then he won't be at Birmingham next season.

Breath of fresh air and his time as first team manager is here and now.
Isn’t that what people were saying about Ange during the first 10 games?

I initially voted - gone by Xmas if results don't improve. I've now changed my vote till the end of season, however, it's through gritted teeth as the football I'm watching is fucking awful. Supposed world class players aren't performing, something is wrong.

Although he always wins something in his second season... mate 🤔

I wonder how much of the "Ange always wins a trophy his second season" is owing to his managing in lesser leagues.

He won a lot in the SPL, fair enough, he did the job in style for those years. But the same club has now won the league 9 years of 10, only two of which were his.

A manager with Celtic playing other SPL clubs can probably impose their will tactically most of the time, but the EPL is a different equation entirely. He can't pick a team that's more talented than the opponents' team week in and week out.

Competing with the top tier clubs using solidly mid-tier talent requires much more from a manager tactically. How could the "we do what we do and we never change it" approach work under these circumstances?

On the basis the last two times it took us ages to replace the last bloke and that both searches were a shit show of managers turning us down and us shifting from one to another I really don’t think we have the ability to confidently pick another manager anyway. Surely nobody has forgotten those searches already?
Yeah but Lange is onboard now and this surely falls within his remit?

So your excusing 2 points from 21.....0 wins in 7 games....Against our 3 closest and traditional rivals.

Excuse after excuse after excuse.

I've never read such a load of utter, drivelling nonsense in all my years on this forum.

Absolutely pathetic.

It’s great to tell your opponents to never expect a surprise !!!

I said 5 more games because the reality is, if we get dumped out of the cup first round he's probably on very thin ice anyway but if we do get through that but the results in the league don't improve over the next 5 and we continue getting similar results then I don't see a way forward quite frankly.

He may still turn it around but I don't want to be going an entire season with something that isn't working when we still have the EL and FA Cup (possible CC as well) to contend for.

The reality is, we haven't started well and no amount of stats and metrics are going to paper over the cold hard truth of the results and football is a results business, like it or not, that's how it is.

IMO I think we should forget about league position - lets see how we go in the cups starting this week. I think a good euro and cup run or two would do us the world of good because lets face it, we aren't doing shit in the league with this team. We didn't improve the positions we needed to in the summer with any top class ready to go first 11 talent (I do think Dom can do well though)
He hasn't got the players to succeed at the very top with this style of play however a manager as steadfast as he is will not be willing to change their philosophy - its basically an admission of defeat to them.

The only thing that is annoying me about ange atm is the fb's thing - the middle is too congested and we don't get behind enough. This makes Maddison look shite with no space to work, the fbs who are just standing in the way of the 8's and the forwards aren't good enough to score us enough goals to win games with the likes of Johnson etc against low blocks. Son is suffering big time with this lack of space.
Would love to see him keep a fb back with the two cbs at all times, overload one side and then mix it up but I do fear he is so stubborn he isn't even willing to try this and just hope our forwards to better.
If THAT happens all season and we win fuck all - he is gone.

I expect a MARKED improvement in the next 5 or he can fuck off to Australia and go hang out with pleb pleb 🤬

More goals scored and MUCH better defending (I’m looking at you Romero you fucking ass-hat).

No improvement, no more patience.
I thought you are hanging out with me in the summer, watching Bazball get whacked!

The manager who spent time learning under Ange, and plays pretty much the same football (see how they also conceded from a set piece)
