The problem with this plan in recent weeks is that 3 man midfield would be PEH, Skipp and Sarr
Bentancur, Bissouma and one of the other 3 maybe.
The other 3, together, at the same time. fuck that.

Either way, the one thing we're not doing wrong by Conte is his wages. Sure, I can understand he needs assurances around the transfers and squad but I'm not sure he should be expecting a significant bump from £15m a year. Maybe that's just me.

Probably renegotiating for a bigger basic wage and less bonuses for things like winning tournaments and European qualification because he knows he's got almost no fucking chance until they invest in the squad...

...like every other team around us (including our biggest rivals) seem to be doing while we tread water at best, with fuck knows how much wasted cash on players out on loan because yet again they got it so wrong while likely trying to do things on the cheap yet fucking again.

Although that doesn't sound great on the surface, maybe they've accepted that we'll be without Kane and Conte and the need for a project manager.

I can hope anyway.

However much I love Poch and what he did for us I'm not sold on the idea. Great manager but he didn't win anything with us before for various reasons. Yeah the football would be better but I'm sure that novelty would wear off when we're struggling to break down Sheff Utd at home next season.

Having said that I would 100% support him but I dunno just can't see it working out.
