That's Conte at all of his clubs. He's always "lucky" because he always wants more backing.
I think we put pressure on the Gooners and they capitulated. We did about the best we could have done. I'm merely stating that Conte seems to believe we were lucky last season to be forth, I can't be bothered to seek out his quote about it.
People need to realise that if by some miracle Conte stays then Lloris, Dier and Son will be going nowhere. We also wont do the sensible thing and sell Kane if he doesnt sign. I mean theres a chance that might happen anyway as Levy clings to fading stars way too long anyway but there is more chance if we accept the full rebuild.

It might surprise you, but football is a team game.
I'm not saying that the defence is not letting us down, or that they are good enough.
We had the 4th best defence last season, with basically the same players.
What I am saying is that we are playing 2 vs 3 every week in the middle of the pitch, getting outnumbered and giving up loads of chances.
It's not working, but Conte refuses to change.
If he went to 352 , we can still play with his beloved WBs and be more solid.

When you're getting outnumbered in the middle of the pitch by teams who have figured out Conte's rigid tactics, there's a problem.
It really is that simple.

the problem is their replacement that would cost milions and milions.

Is this someone at the club leaking to sway opinion against Conte? Or is Conte finding new ways of asking to be removed?
Either way, the one thing we're not doing wrong by Conte is his wages. Sure, I can understand he needs assurances around the transfers and squad but I'm not sure he should be expecting a significant bump from £15m a year. Maybe that's just me.
and the worst thing is, its to play son who makes it 10 men! so not only are you outnumbered in the most important area of the pitch, youre doing it with 10 fucking men!

I'm interpreting this as the board don't want to extend his contract, which is the correct decision.
There are fans who will think the same if we got Tuchel then ruined him, Pep then ruined him, Klopp then ruined him. How many more managers will it take before some fans realise without the board changing we are stuck.
To force the club to pay him off, same effect either way.
