They really do kill the momentum of the early season. I feel like it would make more sense to just have a summer-esque monthlong break maybe from mid-October to mid-November. Play a bunch of qualifiers, give the national teams a chance to really establish something together then let everyone get back to their clubs for good
I'm not attacking the players per se, I'm just saying that to justify their wages they should be made to work very hard on fitness etc. I like what Conte and his team are doing.
That’s a given. However we are also playing a coaching staff a shedload to get the maximum out of the group.
This is what infuriated me about Mourinho in particular. Just blaming the players relentlessly- they are following your instructions!
That being said, I do have huge faith in Conte and his crew to whip the group into shape and identify the areas that need upgrading.
