It would be interesting to see Igula Igula and sammyspurs sammyspurs getting into an argument.

One denying things he did say, and the other insisting he said things he definitely didn't.

And by interesting I mean there would just be pages and pages of ignored comments.

I’m “on ignore” but the only reason I know you exist is because you keep tagging me

Just to clarify Igula Igula and I were on totally different pages. I was talking about the crowd reaction to Contez he was on about the player reaction to the crowd.
There was no debate the crowd got louder for a minute or 2, but there wasn't enough of the game left to know if the players noticed.

On a personal level, I run better to adrenaline filled music. Players must feed off intense crowds.

Here’s an outrageous Conte stat. His average points per season when managing in a first division league is 87!!!

The man learned at the knee of Sacchi, Lippi, Zoff, and Trapattoni, has played or coached in UCL, Euro, and World Cup Finals, won first division titles with three clubs, guided Juve, Inter, and Chelsea from the wilderness, essentially invented the modern 3-5-2, and played alongside Zidane, Maldini, Baggio, Baresi, Del Piero, Deschamps, Buffon, Davids, and many others. He’s a certified legend.

Yet, people on message boards say his team doesn’t have structure. He’s genuinely probably has one of the top 5 most accomplished player/managerial careers in the history of football alongside Cruyff, Guardiola, Zidane, Heynckes. And he’s in his prime, coaching Tottenham fucking Hotspur.

I’d love to see his response to such nonsense. We’re getting top 4 this season and winning something this year, I can feel it in my plums.
Who says he doesn’t have structure? Not read one negative post re Conte

And I agree that the crowd that pick it up and on that matter you are definitely in a much better place to judge that being at the stadium than I would have been watching on TV.

Epic. Agree we'll win something and think we're neck and neck with Utd/West Ham for Top4 as we stand, the Europa tin-pot cup we'll win, but it's what we need to catapult into next season as we will.

Talking about prime, he looks much fitter than Poch, know from experience, as someone who did the shouting for more reps from much fitter athletes, it's much easier for them to accept and drive on, if they see you as one who still pushes themselves in a similar, if more dilute, way.

So you don't see a link between him firing up the crowd and the team responding by more effort and concentration? I agree Klopp is cringe - but Conte doesn't go to that cult like level.

The firing of the electrical charge 'atmosphere' immediately re-fuels the endocrines and allows the adrenals to spurt energy into the legs etc.

It's quite basic stuff, guess the guys sadly never been live (or to a game that wasn't shit).

Remember seeing AC/DC live as a kid and got 'the rush', struck me how energised I was straight away, loved learning about it later and the HPA stuff.

Spine tingling means our bodies are picking up the groups energy, love that he's going to push the crowd into the games, and in turn that energy into the players.

As Matt says, we all know it transfers, some are more sensitive than others (think of when the crowd was on edge first half, that is draining the players legs, fuelling the oppositions, the more intense the noise the more intense the effect, thankfully only minor).

On a personal level, I run better to adrenaline filled music. Players must feed off intense crowds.

Makes me sick how a group of top-tier professional athletes who earn millions of pounds a year aren’t anywhere near peak physical condition.

They must take responsibility but it begs the question, what the actual fuck was Nuno doing with them? Same with Mourinho.
I would say it also begs the question "what the actual fuck is the club doing?" Peak physical condition should be dictated by the club, no matter who the manager is. And if a manager wants to add something to it, then so be it, but there should be a minimum bar (which should be quite high, mind) and that should be set by the club.

We’re not making Top 4 with shit-cunts like Dier, Davies and Winks in our first 11

Conte is a great manager but not a magician
