Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You are talking about the crowd?

The post I quoted said the team responded, I saw zero response from the team.

If you are talking about the crowd sure, I am sure they did respond to Conte waving him arms, but it had no response from the team like the post I was quoting said.

So in turn the subsequent crowd support has no effect on players?

I think you'll find the majority of players will disagree with you.... Then again you'll probably claim they all know nothing too.

It can have an effect but doesn't always have one. There was no effect on the players in that game. Matt himself even said it did not last that long.

I doubt players will say there is a 100% correlation between crowd support and automatic response from players.

Instead of trying to create made up things that I never said how about you worry about what actually was said if you are going to shoehorn yourself in this conversation.

Not bollocks at all, sorry you can't handle facts.

Evidently you don't actually understand the meaning of the word.

No me pointing out facts does.

See above.

And if you see it is all out of Matt misunderstanding the post he quoted so feel free to remove yourself from a conversation you had no part of anyways.

My disagreements with you still stands regardless:

1. Stadium view > TV perception.
2. Impact of Manger > Fans > Players is a genuine phenomena.
3. Impact of Manager > Player is a genuine phenomena.

Except I never argued those points.

So awesome that you created some made up arguments that you then felt you somehow "won." Very typical of how you post.

Obviously not on the same page at all.
Crowd got noisy. Players didn't throw it away. Can't say for sure if that was because of the noise but it was a few minutes from the end so it didn't really matter

It's amazing how EVERY single argument you get into ends with you falsely claiming "I didn't say that" and that others are "making it up".

You've been arguing that Conte's antics have/had no effect and that being inside the stadium holds no benefit in gauging such affects.

I disagree on both fronts.

I have claimed no "win"..... I just think you're talking short-term, self-serving contrarian bollocks as usual.

Igula Igula is there anything you won't argue?

Nope.

Actually that is not the case at all. It often happens with you because that is what you did.

The disagreement I had with Matt is this thread didn't end that way at all. The disagreement with Mick Derry the other day didn't have it.

I would ask you to provide evidence of me claiming any of the things you say but of course you won't just like you never do.

My argument was that the team did not respond to Conte's antic's. Matt has said that was not his argument he was talking about the crowd so it was miscommunication.

I have never once said that the crowd can't effect the team just that it didn't happen in this case.

I then said that someone being in the crowd does not mean they automatically know more than those on TV. I said that they could in certain situations but not in this case. So once again not anything that you are trying to claim I said.

So yes I will say you are making things up when you are clearly making things up. Instead of crying about it you would be best to actually argue about what I said not what you made up in your tiny little brain.

SCHOOL'S OUT Tottenham boss Conte is such an admirer of Bielsa he attended Leeds manager’s masterclass before taking Chelsea job

TOTTENHAM boss Antonio Conte once attended a masterclass to pick up some management tips from Leeds coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa, 66, is known to be a big inspiration to several well-respected managers, including Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino, and Diego Simeone.

But few would have predicted his influence on Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, 52, whose tactical style could not be much more different to Bielsa's.

Nevertheless, the former Chelsea and Juventus boss attended a masterclass given by the Argentine back in 2015, when Conte was still in charge of Italy.

And he could be seen listening intently as Bielsa imparted his wisdom to a room of pupils hoping to learn a few tips and tricks from the former Marseille coach.

The two have never faced one another as opposing managers, but will do so when they go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

The game will mark Conte's second league game in charge of Spurs since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo last month, having drawn 0-0 with Everton.

And he will be facing up against a coach he admires and from whom he once sought to take advice and wisdom earlier in his managerial career.

Bielsa has managed at the top level for more than 30 years, with spells at Newell's Old Boys, Athletic Bilbao, Chile, Marseille and Lille - among others.

He is one of the most respected coaches in world football and is known to be a diligent student of the game, with an unwavering passion for the sport.

Pep Guardiola once said of Bielsa: “He is unique in world football because of the special way he plays. I learnt a lot about his style, his final product. He’s an incredible person, so special.

“Winning titles helps to have a job next season but at the end of your life, what you remember is not the titles you have won, what you remember is the memories you have and whether the manager taught you a lot.

“What we remember are the experiences and the memories, the players you have had, the managers you have had. Marcelo is at the top of the list. Absolutely at the top of the list.”

UNNERVING INTENSITY

The enigmatic Leeds coach is also known for his unnerving intensity and his demanding management style, which has led him to become such a cult figure.

He famously quit Lazio just two days after signing on as their new manager in 2016 after a transfer dispute, leading them to take legal action against him.

But his union with Leeds since joining the club in 2018 has been a match made in heaven, after bringing the sleeping giants back up to the top flight in 2020.

The Whites finished ninth in their first season back in the Premier League and made a big impression with their ambitious and attractive style of football.

The student will take on the professor when Conte's Tottenham face Leeds this weekend and all niceties will have to put aside, with both desperate for a win.

Both sides are underachieving in their league positions so far this season, with Spurs currently ninth and Leeds in 15th after 11 games.

It would be interesting to see Igula Igula and sammyspurs sammyspurs getting into an argument.

One denying things he did say, and the other insisting he said things he definitely didn't.

And by interesting I mean there would just be pages and pages of ignored comments.
