Good observation. I didn't really notice how we were doing it, but we were defending the set-pieces much better.
How much did that seat warming cost us?
Plus we're only playing a game a week so the players aren't being ground down.
Conte is going to take this club to the next level if our owners and chairman back him fully.
He knows how to win and has more importantly the ability to change the psychological aspects of this club (long overdue imo.)
Sports in this day and age is about the right profile of player and for too long we have had players that lack the ability to perform when needed.
Kulu is one of those players that we have signed and also Romero, players that just take control of situations, more players like them and less sulky players like Ndombele along with the guidance of this manager and we will win trophies, 100% certain of that.

Conte only has a Contract to the end of next season but I doubt he will be interested in talking about anything longer until he sees the results of the summer transfer activities. It is not a matter of spending a certain sum of money but getting the right players. Ndombele and Lo Celso cost more than Kula and Bentancur and yet we all know which 2 were the better buys. There will always be players that we want that either the club will not sell or the player prefers another club but we must then move swiftly to another acceptable alternative and not leave it to the last minute.
Levy very much backed Conte in January more by allowing Dele, Lo Celso and Ndombele to leave. The signs that Lo Celso will go are promising but not Ndombele and he must not be allowed to come back and contaminate the squad even if we make a substantial loss. Keeping Kane is essential even if he refuses a new contract.
We are currently a top 4 team and if even the same team and Manager start next season we would be well placed to get top 4 but we need to improve the squad to win a trophy as we do not have the strength to rotate. We need to show Kane winning a trophy is possible for him to stay.

Agree, any previous version of Spurs would have folded with that amount of pressure that was put on us. That victory was shining a new light on us in history. Long may the winning spirit continue!

If we hadn't boo'ed Nuno out the house we'd still be watching that shit he was serving up.
After all the managers we went after, Nuno was the most uninspiring candidate. The one guy I didn't want. Thankfully the fans voiced their thoughts and made the change happen quicker than it probably would have been.
Allowed us to get Antonio and have some sort of up side to the future of this football club that we love.
The power that fans wield is still significant, even in the sports washing world we live in now.

Us Spurs fans are far less arrogant than the gooners, and the other top 6 sides, and we don't make a circus out of every little failure or embarassing bottlejob, but yeah, the whole Nuno saga was a step too far.
So when Spurs fans speak out, it means something. The chants of "you don't know what you're doing" was a huge blow to anyone in the Spurs boardroom thinking of persevering with Nuno.
I actually believe he's good enough to win it next season provided he gets what he wants this summer.
Which means we won't win the league next year.
Spoiler: We don't play in a bubble..... There are 2 other teams in this league that have a habit of getting 95+ points per season.
......And yes they too will once again be strengthening their already stacked squads in the summer.

I know this won't be welcome at this time but I feel conte still hasn't fixed our issues when being pressed.
