Just reading down from the number 6 onwards, it was Paulo Sousa, Didier Deschamps, Antonio Conte, Gianluca Vialli, Alessandro Del Piero & Fabrizio Ravanelli, I mean, no wonder they won the thing.
(Granted, the Ajax team they beat were certainly no slouches in the talent department, with Van Der Sar, the De Boer brothers, Davids, Kanu, Litmanen & Kluivert),

The focus on fitness is so important, we allowed standards to slip towards the end of the Poch era as players started complaining about the intensity of training but under Mourinho’s and Nuno the physical condition of the team was an absolute disgrace.
We’ve seen already the improvement in results and performances just from making our players fitter. Kane looks lean and mobile again compared to the slob he looked under Nuno.

When Winks came on it was obvious it was Bentancur off (which tbf was the right decision but its just obvious).
When Bergwijn came on...yeh you get the point.
Brighton played 2 different formations today and controlled playing 2 formations. That's extremely hard to do yet we let them do it by not altering our formation.

Yeah but I don't know if that would have done anything, Lucas was still doing bonehead stuff when he came on the pitch and that would have weakened us defensively, he's not a better defender than Royal.
its going to be interesting to see what he does now. this system requires a full back like doherty, emerson absolutely kills it, part of the reason as to why it was so poor today. if you havent got the right components for the system then it breaks down all over the place, weve seen this a lot with emerson playing out there as RWB.

nope, Our wing backs are nowhere good enough for Conte's system, Reggy and Royale were not high enough up the pitch to be effective, both of them are far too inconsistent to be class players.
