Training very hard during the season can be problematic. You don’t really gain much fitness in couple of weeks but training hard will have a negative effect on games. There’s still a lot to play for this season and this shouldn’t be treated as a long pre-season. Conte is not used to coming in midseason but I trust that he knows what to do.

It's drastic measures but also drastic times. Statistics show us that the players current fitness and application is up there with the worst in the league. Unless we at least try to change that our football won't be getting anywhere close to good enough to win trophies or qualify for Europe. I personally think we may start to see some improvements after January.

Wouldn't surprise me if we picked up a load of injuries...

there'll be so much science into how to get peak output and manage injuries .... in theory, the fitter team (all other things being equal) will win always

How can ppl be happy with a 0-0 draw to a poor Everton.

City prepared to pay 125m for Kane. Cash in and begin rebuilt early.

Barca didn't sacrifice clubs future to keep Messi for 3 more years

Haven't read one post where a member here said they were happy with 0-0. The overwhelming response was that it was disappointing not to win, however the fans witnessed (in a few short days), what Conte is aiming for. We aren't Barca, and the Kane matter is very different to that of Messi.

Basically, it wasn’t Nuno or Jose, so players playing crap football and passing poorly was seen as innovative and positive because we changed formation.

Also, if you wasn’t impressed suddenly by Ben Davies you hate Conte.
Making subs too late is now just fine because we don’t have the players (unlike Nuno who had Ronaldo) and calamitous defending and goalkeeping is accepted because VAR

People spent years berating Levy and slagging off most of the squad as champo cloggers (when some we were actually playing ok too) but the same players now deserve a clean slate and to be able to prove themselves.

And apparently a drab 0-0 draw against an Everton team that shipped 5 to Watford has shown them a chink of light and some building blocks for the future.

Personally, I’m looking forward to about 8 players not being here by August, and hopefully 4 already by the end of January

But knock yourself out peeps, what with all these easy fixtures coming up. Easy like Vitesse and Everton was supposed to be.

Different day, same team

Do we win some kind of trophy for this?

I haven’t seen anyone say it was a good result. What people have said was they can see a style of play emerging.

If you’d watched the game and actually understood football, you’d have seen that too.

Obviously if Conte isn’t back and transfers made (mainly in the summer but hopefully a few in January) then there’s only so much he will get out of this squad.

But we all know you’re just a gooner troll with no interest in spurs.

No need to reply fella. At least wait until tonight so your post can help me fall asleep
