Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would be a lot more confident if his wife and daughter relocated to England. I believe they are both still in Italy after they moved back following his Chelsea stint.
I have an awful feeling that Conté and Juventus will eventually turn into a ‘I just can’t quit you’ romance.
Those are fair points, I was assuming he wouldnt go back to a club he left but you never know.

I would love for him to be our Simeone though. The football isnt the most exciting but seeing rival fans cry after we win and insist that our luck will run out makes up for it.

Rival fans everytime we get another lucky win under unsustainable conte ball

On this part, it just won't happen until his daughter (Vittoria) has finished school. Alasdair did a decent write up on it here:

The 53-year-old continues to live in a luxury apartment within a central London hotel with his wife Elisabetta remaining in Italy with their teenage daughter Vittoria in her final years of secondary school. The couple did not want to disturb their daughter's educational and social development and take here out of school and away from her friends, but it is a balance that seems to be working fine at the moment.

That's in the middle of a generally positive piece, so no need to worry. I think if we can keep him happy for a couple more years, we could see the family move over.

Fat Frank rockin' bottom with the less than 1 PPG average. :nunothumb:

He's doing a cracking job though... Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :nare:

The thing with Conte is he is in it to win it. He isnt one of these managers who is happy to play nice looking football to come 3rd and to say oh well we nearly did it.

If he knows we are within reach of winning a trophy and he isnt backed he will walk away, regardless of whether we finished 2nd and had a good season.

Good post on redcafe from a chelsea fan (I dont get it either)

"Win against mid lower table teams try to get draw away from home against top teams try to win matches against top teams at home. It's conte formula.
So for he got what he wanted and stay in contention for league. Nothing wrong with that. Slowly integrating new recruitments. Spurs will be there as long as title winning points under 90."

Musing but maybe Conte didn't want to go 3-5-2 just yet as you're essentially giving Emerson the right wing by himself, that's a huge problem, now he has Doc fit we might see it more often.

Obviously before people start comparing Poch to Conte because the circumstances when each manager took over were very different,

But if anything this just shows the scope for improvement that Conte can reach if he continues to be backed.
