Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Time will tell but I just can’t see a risk averse manager making the decision to get them at their fittest after the World Cup as Miguel suggests when half of them might come back injured anyway

It's an unprecedented scenario; so you or I will have zero idea how the managers and sports scientists are inclined to approach it behind the scenes.

The stadium has been open 4 years not 5 so you need to do a bit of adjusting, which you seem to have ignored despite spelling it out for you in the previous post.
stadium opened the 19/20 season, i posted the financials. out net spend is 3rd. we havent spent anywhere close to united FACT. Not sure what's so hard to crack about that code.

but go ahead and keep contemplating it i guess , enjoy

Liverpool have owners that are willing to splash on quality. We don’t. That’s the difference.
People want to debate managers & players every year etc. when it’s obvious we ain’t going to the next level with these owners who are happy with scraping 4th every year. They won’t invest what it takes to do that.

a couple points though, we are ahead of united by 4 points and they've lost more than us. They havent played us away, chelsea away or Woolwich away.

Also Hag spent 204 million on new players through the door this summer after sales

We ourselves spent £73 million on totally new players this summer after sales.

it's quite the gap, and it's the same old story that frustrated the fuck out of Pochettino. We dont act like a big club. We pretend we're going to buy the Armani tux and go to the opera but we end up going to JD sports and watching a rom com at the Cinema (matinee price of course)
I think we all got duped when they announced they are going to spend a lot this summer. Debatable if we even improved a starting 11 that isn’t that strong to begin with.

Levy is far from being perfect, but he gave conte what he could I think. Bentancur, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Perisic and Bissouma are all first team players and I think Conte could have used them far better than he's doing. He should rotate more the squad, there's no doubt about that.

I don't think the problem are his tactics to be honest, think he has a lot of problems but maybe the tactics aren't the major problem. In my opinion the players are overtraining and overused, and we know that as we ealready saw Conte's training sessions. You can see the low intensity we play, the fatigue in players like Kane and Son, we are running out of battery by now.

I know there are other problems but I would like to point this one as it seems very obvious for me.

their fans would disagree.

they sold Coutinho for 150 and split it on Alisson and VVD. they don't tend to go over the top.

ok Nunez was 60+ but he basically their only signing
Don’t forget 42m Diaz because levy was too tight again.
Konate 36m. Jota 40m. Fabinho 40m.
& they wasted on Keita 54m & OX 40m.

Liverpool fans want them to invest more & think that’s why they are slipping this season. But they did spend big on the keeper & VVD at the right time & that won them the title & CL. Obviously they have won other cups & finished higher than us so Liverpool’s owners have done so much better than ours, no matter what you & others say.
You say we have an agenda. But when people argue that our owners are as good Liverpool’s it shows they clearly have an agenda.

I know when the stadium opened, i was explaining to you where the numbers came from - if you look at totals on the image there is a discrepancy between your numbers and that so who knows, one has us 2nd one 3rd.

The point regardless of that is that we are spending like a big club now we are able, something you was saying was not the case in your original post that i responded to.

Liverpool had first refusal and we're offered the chance to match our offer. He wanted to go there. Don't blame that one on Levy/Paratici

Disagree. We stalled & were penny pinching so Liverpool came in.

Even his dad said we hesitated so we could have got him if we moved quicker. Then Liverpool came in.
So I think we will have to agree to disagree.

Do you think our owners are better than Liverpool’s?

Say it again, Scott....? Hard to understand what you're saying when you're gagging on Liverpool's penis.

(It's funny how net spend only matters when it makes us look bad, isn't it....? Poch spent north of 400m (g) in his time here....... We've spent a big old chunk (g) since we moved into the new stadium..... Suppose that will be disregarded as that doesn't fit the narrative either.)

It's October 2022, 9 months after Liverpool bought Diaz

If you're still engaging with folk who are still insisting that lays contrary to the actual facts I think you might need to consider whether that person either a) Trolling ) b) Clueless c) Both

No excuse for not making any changes prior to their 2nd goal. It was clear what we were doing was not working at all.

I wouldn’t have any problem with conte if he actually tried things. But he sticks with things that aren’t working and expects it to magically get better.

3 seasons into “the painful rebuild” and we somehow still only have 14-15 players an “elite-level” manager trusts.

Starting to get to the point where I blame the manager.
