Exactly.

Who is the right manager?
What would make them better for achieving success than Poch, Nuno, Jose, and Conte?
But isn’t that the sane for 90% of clubs? Every club is looking for someone to come in and turn things around. Hence why managers get sacked if they don’t what is expected. Only a handful of clubs won trophies generally. Does every manager at other clubs come out and say the club is rotten from top to bottom? The reason clubs sack managers is they want someone ride to come in and do better than the previous guy otherwise why change?Do you see there is a culture at the club that has produced this cycle where the same thing happens with every manager?
Is this time different?
Why will it not be the same with the next manager?
Conte has failed in many respects. But yesterday was all on the players. When you concede 30 seconds into the half, and again two minutes after going 3-1, that reeks of “we got this wrapped up” attitude. The fact that we were playing the last place team was surely on their minds.
How many players are still here from Pochs days? Top of my head Davies, Dier , Sanchez, Hugo ,Skipp, Lucas , Son and KaneMate, it's quite clear he says that in 20 years, the players have been absolved of blame and people are always blaming managers and the board.
It's clumsily delivers due to his frustration, anger and the language barrier but it was evident that was the case when you read full quote and not edited version of a video.
He's sick of the players getting a free pass. This was basically Conte's version of Mourinho saying "different coach, same players"
Yea and his picked virtually the sane players all season. So must be some of those players. If it is then why has he tolerated it? His supposed to be a hardman who takes no shot. Yet his let the players attitude run rife without seemingly doing anything about it.
The dressing room is led by all the Poch-era players. That's the issue. How many players are still here from Pochs days? Top of my head Davies, Dier , Sanchez, Hugo ,Skipp, Lucas , Son and Kane
I wonder how this compares to the gooners for example since Lego head took over ?
Ancoletti would probably say Get rid of half a dozen players now , so he’d not get the job
Yup! But we are terrible keeping possession as we are not coached to play like that under Pulis.Would the other top 6 teams go to 541 and invite pressure against the bottom team in the league?
No, not a single one. They’d keep the ball up the pitch and wind down the clock in possession or by the corner flag.
I think managers get ground down , we break them
Long time lurker to this board but had to create an account to reply to this.
It's this ignorance that makes the Spurs fans probably the biggest ownership apologists in the PL. Let me take you back to 17/18 champions league final, Liverpool vs Real Madrid. Liverpool on the cusp of winning the biggest trophy in Europe. What happened? Their keeper bottled it. Klopp half protected him from the media but knew he'd never rely on him ever again. What did the owners do for Klopp? That's right, they backed their man and spent £66m on Alisson - £66m on a goal keeper, notwithstanding what they'd already spent on VVD. What happened the following season? Oh that's right, they beat us in the champions league final with that man in goal. The ownership had absolutely everything with Liverpool getting over the line.
Now what did Enic do on our road to European glory that same time? They broke the premier league record for not signing a single player for an entire calendar year. Now before you say, "but muh shiny new stadium cost a lot of money", if you're in the business of football and you have to sacrifice footballing matters for an entire year with a squad already in decline, at best that is poor planning and at worse, gross negligence. Poch got us to a European INSPITE of Levy and Enic, not thanks to them and they rewarded him with the sack the following season.
Keep apologizing for Enic & Co, enjoy the Beyonce show and do let me know how fast the go-karting track is.
Oh I bet he didn’t mention that in his rant? Not scoring in FH, going behind almost every game, letting in 2 goals every game, etc.I just think he doesnt have the players to play his tactics. We cant defend but on flip side we are so passive under him. 9 times in a row going behind in matches. You cant give initiative away straight away in premier league. Asking for trouble.
Should have been sacked ages ago. No that I want Tuchel perm but they could have got someone like him in for the remainder of the season before AC game. You never we may have decided to attack that game rather play for the 0-1 loss like we did. TT won CL with chavs coming in halfway in season. Contract till June you never know. This count just waved the white flag and says nothing to do with him.If he's not going to be here next season I really can't understand why we don't get the new guy in as soon as possible and give them some real games to get acclimatised to the squad. Outburst or no outburst. New manager bounce could have eve helped top 4 chances.
His inflexibility with the formation is a huge issue. But yesterday had nothing to do with that. We didn’t invite pressure on their first goal, it was only 30 seconds into the half. Same with the second goal. That was a bottle job by the players, not a tactical issue. We didn’t even have time to invite pressure, they scored practically straight from kick off not once but twice.Would the other top 6 teams go to 541 and invite pressure against the bottom team in the league?
No, not a single one. They’d keep the ball up the pitch and wind down the clock in possession or by the corner flag.
