People still crying about him? The truth is he's a good manager but it just didn't work out.
I think it was due to the lack of a proper work life balance in the first place combined with all the shit going on in his personal life last season. Also the fact that he never sticks around for very long anyway.
Teams were starting to see through his rigid and predictable patterns and he didn't seem to be interested in doing any coaching to fix those issues, instead hoping to get more money on players who would do a better job performing those same instructions. And tbh, when they're performed well, it's not that bad.
He just has a different approach to the game and sees it differently. But people don't like possession-less based systems unless there's a title at the end of it, and even then they don't like it.
Either way, I'm glad he's gone. If he stayed another year and got the players he wanted we would currently have Zaniolo, Traore and Lukaku in the team.

Hahah, wrong. I have no opinion about Conte, what I don’t like is that he’s overly criticized, which is happening mostly because some ultra sensitive fellas got triggered by what he said after the Southampton game. In fact, if you track back my posts before we hired him, I still hoped/wanted us to hire ten Hag over Conte.
As for Postecoglou, it’s not that I’m not accepting him, it’s that I wasn’t excited at all about his appointment and I am still not fully convinced that he is the manager who can take us forward. So far it looks like I’m wrong, but remember we also played well for about 10 games the season Conte took over. If Postecoglou can do it over a season and more, I’ll likely be convinced he’s the man.

This wouldn't be remotely surprising if fans actually bothered to do some research on the managers that they wanted.
It's no secret that Conte prefers workhorses in the midfield over more talented players. He wants players that can follow his very rigid tactical instructions and limit the amount of risks they take on the ball.
People were complaining that he didn't get the players he wanted but was given club signings instead, well now you can see why.

I have no grudge against Conte although I do have mixed feelings about his spell at Spurs....but it was Spurs who sacked him and not he who took the decision about him stopping at Spurs (from what I read in the press, that is)

I don't actually hate Conte at all. I thought he was let down by his players against Sheffield United away and AC Milan at home and Southampton away. His rant after Saints away was justified.
He got us into the top 4 when it was virtually impossible, had a great start last season, left us in the top 4, and was knocked out of the ECL that Mourinho won due to covid.
Now, did I want him gone at times because of atrocious results and football? Yes. And it didn't help Woolwich overtaking us playing some good stuff. But I seriously would not have sacked Conte, Mourinho, or Pochettino before the end of their seasons. And even Jose or Poch could not have left us in 4th.
Conte is also a man, I do not forget, who was suffering with health problems and the death of a friend, and I was surprised we even got him in the first place. He is like that hot woman you fancy that got away, except somehow Levy coerced him back for a year long fling. It still leaves me a bit bamboozled now that we actually still got to fuck the pornstar who ghosted us.
I hope he does well at Napoli, or wherever else he goes. I'd back him to be a success.

and he clearly doesn't have the talent or patience to turn around a club who hasn't been winning recently (like us)
....so what he's saying is, he just wants to simply turn up and continue to enjoy (and no doubt take credit for) a club already winning things....

I couldn't disagree with what he said in the fallout from the Southampton game with regards to the attitude from the players and the the ownership, but the "changing a manager" comment is now proven wrong.
It of course helps that a manager with a more "can do" approach, with the "right" players is seeing a turnaround but it's not been major surgery. How much of what was wrong was down to him, Nuno and Jose?

According to him; precisely NONE of it...... And that's why I take umbrage with both him and everything he said in the last 2/3 weeks of his tenure.
His responses to the AC & Sheff U games were fucking pathetic to the point that his parting shots at the players and owners (and fans in the weeks before!) were utterly hollow.
