Massive game.

We really should be dismantinling APOEL. Don't care if it's a dodgy away pitch and memories of the Europa League.

We go strong here. Or as strong as possible anyway. Son in for Dele. Aurier starting as he's suspended at the weekend. Etc.

Lloris
Toby - Sanchez - Foyth
Aurier - Dier - Dembele - Davies
Eriksen - Son
Kane
Great oppertunity to get 6 points from 2 games heading into the Madrid game.

Good luck with getting Jan in the team...

I think this was always a game Foyth was going to get minutes in anyway!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Dier drop back to defence for this one.
Might be a little to soon for Foyth, but I guess this all depends how he is showing himself in training.

Win this, Madrid and Dortmund draw.......

Time to start living the dream

Would be brilliant.

Imagine, the team with no hope of qualifying from this group ending game week 2 on:

1. Tottenham - 6
2. Real Madrid - 4
3. Dortmund - 1
4. APOEL - 0

Though it does mean, if we lose both of our games to Madrid (it's likely Dortmund beat APOEL twice), they go above us. So Madrid winning may be the best option.

Whilst we can't worry, or affect what Madrid/Dortmund do, we know that one of them has to drop points.
It's gonna be a similar scenario next weekend in the PL, when one of (or both) Chel$ea & Man Ci£y have to drop points... that's all well and good, but that said, we need to take care of business at our end before we can start speculating how we can benefit from other results...

We go strong on Tuesday, we get at them, we are better than them, but we have to prove it on the day.
APOEL (and Huddersfield for that matter) won't just roll over 'cos we want them to.

If we're going to take advantage of the other matchday fixtures pairing teams whose inevitable dropped points will affect us, then we need to get our points first, in order to truly benefit!

...and that right there, is the most obvious bleedin' statement I have ever made!
