Player Archie Gray

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Even Forest have players like Elliot and MGW in CM.

We have a kid who cost us 40 million who is years away from being PL ready. It's a disgrace

It was 100% Gray’s fault. Nobody else’s. Mistakes happen and especially to centre midfielders in that situation. I remember Rodri getting caught and us scoring. It happens.
disagree.

How many times is Vicario going to make that pass into one of our players with a man up his arse and it cost us a goal?
I mean it happened just the other week with Romero against PSG.

I don't care if they are being asked to play that way, if the pass is being pressed in any way and I was Vic I would just kick it long.

Its not like its even worth the risk, Vic goes to Gray, Gray is supposed to turn it around the corner to the full back. Who then invariably either just goes long to nobody or goes back to Vic again. Its fucking moronic....

so nothing to do with ronald mcdonald for the quality of pass? someone else rightly pointed out its to grays left foot, so for him to pass it to romero first time is not as easy as you think! theres also another big problem with the pass! its fucking bobbling along to gray! a simple 7 yard pass from a clean ball, ends up bobbling along to a player under pressure and to his wrong foot to pass first time.

vicario can not play out! them little bobble passes are a constant from someone who doesnt have the technique to play simple passes along the floor. that cunt cant even pass to a statue with quality, let alone a player in motion.

needs to be binned off, unless he goes long every time and we try and win the second ball like the 90s you can not get along with a keeper as poor as vicario, his footwork is football suicide.

Ultimately he’s 19 so you can’t be too harsh .. but I’ve never watched him at Spurs and thought “wow, this kid is a mega talent he just needs polishing”.

It’s all just a bit basic. Dunno if he hasn’t come out of his shell at all because I was impressed when I saw him at Leeds a few times.

Just not seen a spark. Mistakes or whatever are fine and expected for kids but you want to see flashes.

He'll be fine- it was a bad mistake but it's something that he will learn from.

That we gave up other goals and failed to make any of our own is a bigger problem than an isolated mistake. For me I thought he came undone by his error a bit and lost his head. That was a worse sin for me on the day- not keeping his cool and being too desperate to try and make up for it afterwards- can't get caught up doing that- was dangerous for us.

Today would have been a better day for Palhinha and Sarr to start instead of Benta/Gray- it's obviously a subtle call to make but I think it was the wrong move today to start them by Thomas.

I don’t get the point of the pass , it’s only going to Romero and doesn’t open up the game anymore than if Vic went direct to Romero and there’s zero risk .
Zero risk ?

There was a Forest player directly between Vicario and Romero, the pass directly to Romero wasn’t on.

The pass to Gray was definitely on, Gray wanted it, he just fucked it up.

He’s young, errors are what you tend to get more from kids rather than more experienced players, and hopefully he learns from it.

Dont think he had one like that but did have errors. Bergvall had a couple of similar errors leading to goals last season too. Hopefully both learn from these sort of mistakes, often can't get away with an extra touch in those areas at this level.

This is true but on all of those occasions they have, at least, been showing for the ball. I remember several of Berg's turnovers were when he literally had no one to pass too because they were all hiding so he had to take a touch.

Gray made a mistake. he knows it. We' could all move on but for this forum's desperate need to frucking Wicker Basket every single one of our players when the true problem is we simply don't have any World class talent to help the squad be better than the sum of their parts.

Sometimes it feels like our team could use some more time playing the triangle game. A lot more actually!

I've been to games watching in horror as our midfielders never move to create an angle for ANY pass let alone a basic triangle.

At least here the basics were right just flawed execution. Romero is RIGHT THERE waiting for the ball...
