Sorry why is this thread not bumped???

Tel deservedly getting pelters, Johnson gets slagged off when he fucking scores and this kid gets left alone time and time again despite him being absolutely abysmal when playing in CM.

I'm not exaggerating here, we could have got any cm from our under 16s to do what he's done. The guy is always yards away from play, doesn't know what he's meant to be doing in a Positional sense, doesn't offer anything going forward. It's literally so embarrasing what he has offered and absolutely nobody can tell me Devine and/or Donely wouldn't have offered something better.

He's alright on the ball.

Problem we keep seeing is he's just not there off the ball / tactically. In CB he was always playing folk onside. In CM his positioning is also sloppy and lazy.

He could still come good under the right coaching environment. He has some good attributes. The stuff he lacks can be coached and learned with experience.

Ah look Devine looks good, ah look Donely looks good, ah look we just beat Barcelona to the signature of Bergval.

What shall we do now guys? I mean it's clear we need an experienced CM.

splash 35m on midfield prospect number 737373636363838 yayyyyy that will show the league we are serious.

I truly never noticed him, not sure if that's good or bad but it's more likely bad.
Because he's always yards away from play.

When he plays CM again just watch him. You can't tell if he's meant to be playing as a DM, box to box, attacking. He literally chases shadows all the time.

Ange was God awful but I remember they asked him about playing Gray in midfield and he literally said "I want to win games". I mean wtf are we doing here.

Fucking hell, calm down.

He is 19 years old. 19.

He has shown plenty last year as an 18 year old, mainly having to play out of position in a shit team with no tactics or structure.

He did very well in pre season against Newcastle.

Go check out some of the PL great midfielders at 19. Lampard, Keane, Vieira, Scholes. None of them played regular football at 19, let alone 18.

Pretty much only one would be Gerrard who broke through at that age.

Your take on a kid this young is so wrong.

Strikers sometimes make it younger. But not many. You were probably one of those stupid twats who wanted us to sell Kane to a Chanpionship side when he was just turning 21.

Give your head a wobble.

Tel just turned 20. Direct me to your post on his thread defending him.

Wasting your time,

He’s fully obsessed with Archie.

Very reasonable poster on almost every other topic

No mate you're unreasonable because you hyped him up ridiculously when we signed him so you can't bring yourself to admit he has been abysmal when played in CM (and ok at CB).

Bergvall is the same age bought for a 4th of the price and he goes looking for the ball. He's not a passive passenger that does everything in his power not to be involved in general play.

If you take his performances in isolation without price tag you would want him loaned at a minimum.

yea theres some ability and talent on the ball no doubt, he is very suspect in defending one on ones tho, gets skinned too easy.

Frank clearly rates him

Off the bench in the early stages of the domestics? Fine. Against a team like PSG? Not even close at this stage in his career. Not to say that he won't become a baller, but right now in the competitions we're in, I wish we had higher quality options.
