Player Archie Gray

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His off ball movement is infinitely better than Palhinha's or Bentancur's. He actually gets himself open unlike those two who are perpetually marked because of their lack of mobility.

His ability to move in to channels could be an answer, not necessarily the answer, to our almost complete inability to progress the ball from the centre that has been haunting us since the beginning of the season. Fingers crossed.

Get Hayden Hackney let him progress it. Let Archie cover ground. Id rather lose with Grey Sarr and Bergvall thanks better than the plodders.

Would like to see him given a run in the team as an 8.

He's still raw but has the tools to be our most well-rounded midfielder and gives us some technique, passing and mobility in the middle.

He'll have some off days for sure but at least it's developing a young talent and it's a hell of a lot better than the Bentancur/Palhinha pivot of misery.

Seriously? Did well for the goal but completed 58% (7) of a very meagre 12 attempted passes in 75 minutes. Defensively was meh. Really don't see what he is.

Still not seeing it.
oh mate behave, fuck stats! use your eyes! he had a hand in two of the goals, the first was a lovely little dink to the back post with his weaker foot! thats not easy at all! gray is clean on the ball, his touch and weight of pass is clean, he can move with it too, the kids a player.

I used the stats to back up an opinion, to show it's not just some kind of bias. He was a midfielder tonight, didn't give people options on the ball, saw absolutely fuck all of the ball as a result, 7 passes to team mates in 75 minutes. I don't see what his strengths are. I am yet to see him have a good "rounded" game in midfield.

go and watch his movement to get the ball from bergvall for the first, id say thats more than showing for the ball. put him around better footballers and hell thrive, hes got a nice thing going with berg, the other two midfielders were sarr and bentancur....both had shit games.

gray had two massive parts in two of the goals, against the champions of europe away from home, hes more than done his bit today.

It would be nice to see him get a run in the team, along with Berg, to see if the quality, and understanding, they showed against PSG is something they can deliver consistently. They deserve nothing less.

Not sure if anybody noticed, but that nice cross he hit to RKM to Richy for our first goal was hit with his left foot. That's actually one of the better left footed crosses anybody has hit on our team in a long time. Hard to say he doesn't have technique if he can do it with both feet...

I've always felt with Archie it's all about confidence and positioning. In terms of pure technique he's easily one of the very best in the squad and can play some lovely stuff in tight areas under pressure. Thing is he's still a kid so doesn't always back himself and can be a bit timid/play it safe. Think he's one that has big potential to improve if he starts to believe in his own ability and gets some rhythm.

Probably as he’s trying to play football rather than recycle it to the centre backs like Bentacur and never play forward

This young man just needs more regular football , he has all the footballing skill just needs to gather the experience on the park .
And not in several positions , TF needs to find his position and give him game time there .

Just feels like he is ready to break out and impose himself on games... I've no evidence to support this... I just get the feeling one of him or Bergvall (hopefully both) are going to explode...

I feel that Frank's future and his relationship with the fans hangs on whether he plays Gray and Bergvall more often as opposed to Palhinha and Bentancur.

Feel it's a bit like Poch in that instance, he went with Capoue/Paulinho and then turned to Mason and Bentaleb
