modric g/a for spurs in the prem is underwhelming on a stat sheet

08/09 (started LW a lot) 3 goals, 9 assists, 34 league apps
09/10 3 goals, 4 assists, 25 apps
10/11 3 goals, 1 assist, 32 apps
11/12 4 goals, 4 assists, 36 apps

so take away the first year, which he played LW a lot, he averages just over 3 goals a year and 3 assists a year over an average of 31 games. thats not even a goal and an assist every 10 games....thats hardly what you'd call 'getting goals and assists'. did it matter? did it fuck! he didnt need to get goals or assists to influence the game.
Modric would glide by players as if they weren’t there and play a pass between a centre back full back for Lennon to cut back for a striker to tap in. Lennon gets the assist and Modric’s involvement is not recorded. It’s false.

another good showing, need him playing as much as poss, hes the best footballing CM we have, by a distance too.
I genuinely think he could get into the Garry Mabbutt/Steve Perryman category, and yes, I also mean as potential future Captain.

He's not just versatile (which I'm guessing Frank LOVES) but he looks able to EXCEL in any or every position we play him in.

Mabbutt started as a midfielder and moved back to CD, But could more than hold his own pretty much anywhere across the back 4..

And didn't Perryman play in virtually every outfield position during his career... AND he had a goal in him - occasionally!

The fuss and high praise that arrived with Archie Gray came from those who know a thing about football...

He's from Football Royalty (in Leeds Utd terms) and I think that's already kept him grounded, and stood him in good stead.

I think we've got the real thing 'ere Mother!

He's showing more than he has previously.

Hopefully he keeps that up.

He’s a player.

I think he’s going to be one of those that splits the fan base because he won’t ever “wow” you but he just does all of the little things correct.

I echo the sentiment that he should continue getting minutes in our midfield.
