Competition Are we playing for 5th ?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ask yourself who has more potential to get better as the season wears on.

As Frank gets to grips with this squad, players return and players like Xavi settle.

Some people like yourself are just fuckin negative, and you always be lol

Fuck knows how you get through the day 😆
Certainly not us the way we're going.

I'm negative if it's shit , positive if it's good. And sadly, we're firmly under the former. If statistically we were unlucky and there were green shoots, I'd be happy, but statistically, we're overaching and more like a bottom 5 side, with nothing to suggest we'll suddenly improve.

Then there's delusional people like you, who think we'll be close to a top 4 side. I don't know how you've made it this far in life, never mind the day.

Are we playing for 5th?

5th should be the minimum.

Sadly we are probably dialed in for 8th, but on the plus we wont have to play on Thursday next season. That will help the new manager.

Bet your a hoot at party’s mate

Tbh..i'de be amazed if we finished 5th . Our home, form is more aligned to a relegation struggle.. Away, we're hitting teams on the break.. and with our fit full defence, we're holding onto results. Our away form is holding us up ATM. It hurts me to say but if that goes and nothing changes... We're mid table @ best..

It’s not bad but our upcoming fixtures are hideous, we’ve had a very comfortable run of games so far. Let’s see where our pace is at after the next 5/6 league games - our away form is good now but after gooners, palace, Newcastle away etc.. maybe not.
At first had similar feeling regarding favourable calendar so far, but then when you think about it...
Away from home we played City, took part in West Ham cup final, visited Everton ground who haven't lost at new stadium before we came or Brighton who generally plays very well against top 6 teams. Bar gooners, dont think other fixtures you mentioned are bigger challenge than what we already faced.

For sure we can't rely on away games that much cause drop in form there will come at some point, so hopefully it will be compensated with better home form.

This is ironic.

If you were to give a motivationaltalk, it'd be to accept mediocrity and don't dream of bigger things. Would be a bit shit really, wouldn't it?

I'm a change management consultant. I support tech transitions between technology and business to make change as seemless as possible to the end user. Thanks for taking an interest though. So no, I don't have to give motivational speeches, instead, I get to sit at home all comfy, in a new city on a new continent.

So, all in all, I'd say life is pretty good. Apart from having to suffer through horror ball, no complaints at all!

Sounds a lot more interesting than body building...

It's actually pretty fun. Different projects every 6-12 months so you build up a lot of knowledge around things you never thought you'd learn about. Like at the minute I'm on a project for hydroelectric stations and T stations, and know how they're maintained, and can use the technology to maintain them. So it keeps everything fresh and new.

And body building is not exciting whatsoever. I go to the gym 3 days a week, and I dread the thought of going.

As I said on this Forum over 4 months ago, 10th will be a very good result for us this season given our (limited ability) squad and our demanding schedule.

As of today I would take 13th.

From 12,000 miles away (but having made a pilgrimage to our new Stadium last month) it seems to me that a vast majority of our fans want to believe something that is very different from reality.

We are not a top 6 club at the moment and our performances this season don't give me confidence that we will be for 3 or 4 seasons to come. The cost of our squad is irrelevant on the pitch.

We have problems everywhere but I would start with the midfield where we have no "cut through". When have we seen a clever pass piercing the opposition and playing a forward into a goal-scoring position? And Maddison and Kulu are not the answer - apart from the fact that they will take many weeks to become EPL match fit, remember last season when Maddison went missing against the best opposition and Kulu was often ineffectual. Our best midfield bet at the moment might be Bergvall.

Finally (but acknowledging an Antipodean bias) maybe Ange wasn't so bad after all - at least the players knew what the game plan was and, at least on the surface, they liked him as a gaffer even if (with justification) they wondered about the wisdom of his game plan.......

Only took you clowns this long to realise Ange wasn't the problem
