Competition Are we playing for 5th ?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is my personal favourite.

I stand by it. This squad should be top 4, with an eye on the title if other team's collapse.

Outside of Arse, all the top teams are having a nightmare season. Spurs could have capitalized on this and could actually be near the top of the table.

However, the coach has failed miserably to develop a system with this squad, and they have got progressively worse as the season has progressed.

Vic, Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie + Paulinha

Tell me a better back 5 than that in EPL? Spurs shouldn't be so vulnerable at the back. Ange had that back 4 at a 70% win rate - whilst playing a suicide high line. Frank has them sitting deep and organized - and is leaking goals for fun.

If you are going to surrender the ball and invite teams forward; you have to punish them on the break. Whereas Frank ball has Spurs surrender the ball, and then when they win it back, they settle, slow the pace and allow the other team to get organized.

I agree with this part- our break is pathetic compared to what Glasner has Crystal Palace doing. Frank is a worst of both worlds situation- defend deep + slow buildup.

With some much better teams to face after Burnley, and even Burnley now worry me, I honestly can't see where our next win is coming from. Even Wolves are picking up point now - and they should have beaten us.

I think Frank would have been sacked by now if they were going to pull the trigger. Imagine being Gallagher and meeting the manager and hearing his vision - then seeing him sacked.

I think that the credibility of ANY manager coming in now to replace Frank is going to be at risk, because, with this squad, and the injuries, they could be on a hiding to nothing. May as well let Frank lose us the next 5-6 games (as I expect we will anyway - no harm to next manager, no boos), and give a new manager some new players, returning players, and hopefulyl some better upcoming fixtures.

Well, let's consider the games played thus far; and given the capability of the squad, if we should have picked up points.

I believe we should have WON our home games against Bournemouth, Wolves, Fulham, West Ham, Sunderland. We got just 2 points from those games.

So, we really ought to be 3rd, on 40 points. Also, we can consider that we lost away to Forest, Bournemouth and Drew with Brentford. Again, 1 point from 9; where we should have potentially expected 5.

Spurs are dramatically underperforming given the quality of the squad.

Keep Frank and the atmosphere gets to boiling point. Cannot do that or there will be irreversible damage and there's going to be clashes between players and fans.

Get him out the door asap, let Heitinga go in, take the shackles off, go back to basics and just let them play football and their morale will go up. Players have absolutely no respect for Frank at all and have pretty much downed tools.
Imperative he's released asap.

We're certainly underperforming, but dear god we do not have a top 4 quality front line or midfield.

Weirdly we do often have a top 4 quality bench. I'd wager our bench is often stronger than that of VIlla/Chelsea/Newcastle/Man United - maybe even Liverpool on occasion, but our first 11 is weaker than all of the above. Even United, for all their recent shitness, have some genuine attacking star quality in Fernandes and Mbeumo who are miles better than our options in those positions.

If we weren’t shit we really ought to be third. What a fascinating perspective. Please tell me more about that.

Extra headache for any new manager is the run of fixtures ahead if there would be any bounce it proberly would have got us a few more points recently while it maybe not enough with the oncoming matches .

If my auntie had balls

I can see a team that doesn’t have Xavi starting. Midfield of Palinha or Bissouma , Bergval and Gallagher as a 10 , start winning the midfield cos that’s what’s costing us every game . Get Solanke starting so we can hold the f@cking ball up for once and get balls wide and runners into the box , we should be able to play with a higher intensity aswell . It may not be pretty but we need points and personally feel gray and Xavi make us too powder puff .
