Is he ready for us or does he need another loan next season?

Will he ever be good enough for us?

I ask because I’ve never seen him play bar a pre season game for us

Stoke manager Robins said: “I think Ash has got a brilliant future ahead of him. He’s been superb for us. He’s been playing through the last month with injury and got through. Ben Wilmot’s the same, playing with an injury that he needs to have sorted out now the season is over. He’s got through that.

Stoke fansites rated him as their best defender by a long way - some saying he's the reason they were not relegated.

He's regularly captained E u19 as CB.

Its difficult to judge him in absolute terms at Stoke as he was so much better than the rest of the side - and at Championship Plymouth last season he was voted 'Young Player of the Year'. And he is still aged 19 - turns 20 in late June, .

I think we see what he looks like in preseason. He's excelled at two Championship clubs on loan at age 18 or 19 (which is very very young to do that, its also very uncommon and few PL CB's play at that age) so if he's not staying at Spurs next season, I'd guess a loan to a european club might be a better option for him than another Championship club.

Part of the issue is going to be that Vuskovic (just 18) has excelled on loan, so the competition for young CB's is vey tough.

Those rules went a few years ago.

There are rules where there are emergencies - but usually confined to gk's when there are no senior (over 21) GK's, not sure for outfield players under any circumstances
Yes you're right I've just checked the rule book.

This notion of who is and who isn't good enough for us makes me laugh....

I'd rather a player who is determined to spend their time at the club trying to PROVE they ARE good enough to play for us.... :dawsonlol::crouch:
....than a player who thinks he's TOO GOOD for us, and can't wait to board the first plane to Madrid!!! :romerostare:
