Hands up who else had totally forgotten about him...?

Not me, I don't forget the good-looking ones!

Anyone know about the Plymouth team? Look like a quite young team having a quick look at the squad list.

I wouldn't bank on that happening (yeah I know it's logical) but ever since Ange has come in his eyes have been very much on the long term and what's best for Tottenham even if that might present an immediate problem today.

The bottom line is Phillips isn't/hasn't going to get game time at Spurs this season, he can't get ahead of our two reserve fullbacks who are ahead of him.

This is a great move for the player and as a consequence great for the Club in the longer run.

He's clearly not ready for the first team.

He should have been left at Blackburn to develop. Great move for him.

We can only have 8 loans though, and with Reggie and Djed returning poses questions.
Actually. if this article is correct, we can only loan out seven.
From July, teams may only have a maximum of seven players loaned in and seven loaned out at one time – down from eight last season. It will fall to six next summer, although under-21s and club-trained players are exempt.

We currently have 3 senior players on loan and 5 U21 including Phillips.

Edit: The article also states U21s are exempt. So we can still loan out 4 more senior players.

Plymouth got a new manager a couple of days ago, Ian Foster, that previously managed some of the England youth teams so he would likely have been aware of Phillips but I think he always managed the age group just above so might not have actually worked with him
