Yep and Ange says to the AZ coach at full time, ‘ thanks mate, sons crying again’I think we are out.
They will come, sit deep and wait for that one mistake.
We can't handle a low block at the best of times, and we have a gaff in us every single game.
With the added pressure of this being our one chance of redeeming this season I think their arses are going to drop again..
Small positive at least it ends this farce of a season and manager.
I wager a lot of us can then turn off for the rest of the season and not waste any more energy on this club for a few months
Nope that's wrong attitude because ideally we want levy to go first, once gone Ange will be gone in no time.
Some good insights, but can you refresh my memory on what Dier roughly said about Ange's training sessions?![]()
This actually had the potential to be our best goal scoring opportunity by a mile. A relatively simple counter where a few right decisions could lead to an open shot on goal at worst, a sitter at best. The recipient of the pass in particular, Son, has made himself a career out of taking full advantage of situations like this. What’s not to like?

Take your pick here. A simple one two with Maddison that’d probably leave Son 1v1 with the keeper, rewarding Udogie’s run and letting him deliver a low cross/cutback, or going for the ultimate prize by threading the needle with a pass to Tel who keeps running behind the defender. All would have been better choices than what Son actually does, which is to go for his own shot and have it blocked by the defender as can be seen below.

The chance is gone, and 5 players including Son himself are left behind the play in an instance. But it still shouldn’t be a massive problem, as they have 9 players inside their own third including the keeper. Right?

As I said in another post, Bergvall almost spends more time pressing opposing fullbacks around the touchline than he does defending the centre of the pitch the way CMs usually do. This is another instance of him doing just that, which I assume is by design rather than on his own initiative. This can be very dangerous though, as fullbacks pushing forward also forces centrebacks to stay wide to cover for them which opens up the centre even further.

A nice backheel by the AZ player, and Bergvall is done.Bentancur is the last man standing in midfield, being tasked with covering acres of space by himself.
![]()
It devolves into this in a few seconds. Look at all that space, unbelievable. Although it should still be stated that Bentancur messes up by refusing to fully commit to the dribbler until it's too late. I presume that he is wary of leaving the runner(s) on the right wide open. But I’d argue that the priority is to stop the ball, especially when someone is marching forward through the centre of the pitch unopposed.

The situation is terrible so this is not me pointing the finger at him, but Gray doesn't help himself by being in two minds there. He needs to either take a gamble by pushing in front of the defensive line and challenging the player on the ball, or to keep dropping back to prevent the simple through ball to Parrott. He does neither. I sense he tries to offside trap Parrott at the very last second, but the late timing and lack of synchronization with his teammates cause it to backfire.

Vicario saves the sitter, or Parrott misses it. Depends on how you look at it.
Elementariness and more importantly the repetitive nature of some of these errors is a terrible look for not just the manager but also the coaching staff in general. A simple managerial change won’t suffice, it has to be a total cleanup. And it’s clear at this point that Dier was not spouting BS when he talked about how training sessions went under Ange and co.
Thanks for this …![]()

The tie my friend. The tie. We will still progress but we are shit!/// AZ are a poor side. This tie will be comfortable. Even how we are just now we will still cruise through this.
yes that Nico guy is a real knob
I don't... I think we go through THIS tie, and drag it out for another month!I think we are out.

Yeah I don't get what the knicker twistings about. He is just pumped and probably relieved we didn't concede another.. There's a lot of chod talk about liking each other. It's odd, players and fans bond over battling performances where we get results. This blokes attitude has won us games in the past. He's behaving in a way that people on here have wanted from our players.
Why would it be any other way...I think something else is happening here, the way the story is being written up it's like a narrative of descent is being inflated suspicious...Unhappy players and fans Daniel has to act..we are in the end game now![]()
I rate him, but he’s a shit 6 he really is.I dont think hes shit at all, the system just leaves him out to dry. He seems to have to fill in at fullback leaving our defense even more exposed its so so dumb. The amount of times our entire midfield and fullbacks are ahead of the ball we then lose it and it just a massive counter with a free run at our defenders is criminal.
Ange absolutely needs to go, his system is horrendous and Im not going to judge players until he has gone.
Udogie is a shocking defender. Massive issue. VDV at LB plsIf any of you get the chance go and watch the Parrot chance from when Sonny loses the ball. Watch the state of Udogie not giving a fuck trying to get back. If you are a full back in this system you can’t just jog back when you get caught out of position. He won’t be able to effect anything but at least show a desire to get back. That stuff rubs off on team mates!
So what is he then??

He’s a good footballer but he can’t defend. Doesn’t sense danger from crosses, and doesn’t block, put his body on the line. 1 vs 1 he’s fine… he carries the ball well too. We need to block out six games and create a solid base, this won’t happen with him in this systemSo what is he then??
A winger?? a left sided CM??
You're making him sound like Emerson Royal with slightly better PR!
