Kinsky, Udogie, Porro, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Johnson, Werner, Son, Tel

The team that beat AK last October.
Forster
Gray, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie
Bentancur, Bergvale, Maddison
Moore, Richie, Werner
Not a convincing win but much weaker than the team we are likely to put out this time.
Assuming no injuries from yesterday and both CB's fit for some action I would play
Vic,
Spence, Danso, VDV Udogie
Bentancur, Bergvale, Maddison
Kula, Tel, Son
Hopefully Romero taking over from VDV in 2nd half as VDV cannot play whole match. Porro also replacing Udogie with Spence changing sides. If we need a goal then Johnson & Odobert can be released against tired legs. In 2 legged matches a draw away is always a good result.

Ange and medics have been fairly consistent in recent messaging about wanting to make sure returning players will be as fit as possible for the remainder of the season - much more so than a few months ago.

Specific player information has been less clear, with Ange saying that he was using the Ipswich and ManCity matches in particular to build up game time to the players such as Udogie, Odobert, Johnson. Beyond that its been that some players will be brought back for first leg of AZ and Bournemouth (between the 2 legs) but without being too definitive as to who.

We know Romero has started training (and by inference likely to be back for AZ first leg, and Solanke (who was originally expected to return a week behind the 2 CB's) also back in training. Since Van de Ven's 45 mins v Elfsborg, its been pretty quiet on his front

Its clear that Ange/medics do not want to risk bringing players back too soon and if there's any doubt over the players fitness , it looks as if their return might be held back to Bournemouth and/or 2nd leg. There are 8 days until first leg v AZ and Romero, Van de Ven, Solanke and Richarlison will be put under the microscope in those 8 days to agree which of them are involved - and who starts, plays off the bench or might just be on bench.

So Romero looks the most likely to start with 1 or 2 or even 3 of the others being on the bench, not necessarily playing in first leg, but they may do.

The good news is that those who have just returned - Johnson, Odobert and Udogie now all seem to be good to play 60 - 90 mins and Davies is also available.

Hopefully one of Romero or VDV are back for this:

Vic
Porro - Danso - VDV - Spence
Bentancur
Bergvall - Maddison
Kulu - Tel - Son
Win/win now for us.

Win EL yay we won a trophy and have CL next season.
Fail to win and bye bye fatty.

Looking forward to the run in.
