He has always given 100% and been very reliable when called upon at both CB and LB. He’s been a consummate professional and a credit to our club for over a decade.

He isn’t a luxury player so rarely gets the plaudits but pretty much every time he plays people have something positive to say about his performance.

He comes across as a top bloke and has a reputation of being incredibly well liked by everyone at the club for the entire time he’s been here. I’d take Ben Davies in our squad over 90% of the players we’ve seen come and go over the last 11 years.

Such a breath of fresh air having someone on the left who actually has a left foot.

The fact that Frank chooses Spence over him every match—even though Spence has no left foot, and his cut-ins are painfully predictable and so always cut out—is yet one more Frank selection calamity.
 
Thought he was pretty good in the first half. The whole team kinda has a stinker in the second, So I’m not going to single him out. I’m very surprised that um he has so little pages. But he’s hardly played since Conte. He was really good in a back three for a while.

I thought he played very well today. Got a goal and saved a certain one at the other end. On the back of that performance I don't mind him being the deputy LB for the rest of the season.

Hopefully we let him go after this season though- he deserves to have a couple seasons elsewhere starting before having to call it quits.
 
Ben Davies sums up where we are with our squad currently.

For years he was the one that wasn't ever good enough to start but now he looks like one of the better players compared to some of the ones we have right now.
 
Top professional. What gets me is that his thread has only 205 pages in almost 12 years. Seems incredibly low. I know he's a bit of a low profile player but still, the "who should be our next manager after Frank" thread that I started in a pretty drunken state in the end of November last year has more than half the amount of pages already ffs.

Perennially under appreciated

He's played 244 PL games for us and 361 games overall - less pages than games by almost double
