I have zero doubt he'd be better than what we have now. I hope he does his badges but my little fantasy is Vertonghen/Dembele head coach and Ben Davies D.O.F bet he'd be brilliant at it.

It was a f**king joke.Actually every single sport wants to train like they play because it's meant to make injuries less likely. The idea is that the human body adapts and it's when you shock it with new levels of intensity that injuries happen.
People complaining that we play and train intensely are literally just looking for somewhere to lay the blame.
No not at all. They are being caused by nanites. But no the system is not causing injuries. So you don't think the training and system cause the injuries?
There is definitely a bit of both at play. Our medical department is below par and is rightly being under review as per recent reports. This club has been in injury crisis mode long before Ange although its not been good during his tenure. Something is not right with our medical situation. Might simply be we always have thin squads and overpay players but it is a shambles.

But Ange's style and training methods definitely just exasperate the problem.
what is it about his training methods that make you think it's the training?
I initially thought the CBs were rushed back by Ange but he isn't able to clear them to play, only the medical team can do that and tbh both actually returned after the initial prognosis when they first got hurt...
Romero injured his foot in a tackle was meant to be out for 1 game but then took weeks to come back then injured his quad....
VDV was meant to be back after the international break, then came back 2 or 3 games after it and tweaked it during the game...
Now maybe Ange played VDV longer than he planned to and that could be on him but it's a massive reach to say either are on Ange really.
If we knew more about the training and how that compares to other teams then maybe we could realistically say it's training but all we really know is that they get injured and get injured again when they return from injury.
If people just say we have intense training so that's why we get injuries then their brains aren't engaged. Are we the only club with intense training? If we didn't train with intensity, wouldn't that make the physical adaptation to the intensity of games MORE likely to cause injuries?
How do they do that?
Having the same players play that system every 3 days might exasperate it but Liverpool have been doing that as well for years under Klopp. Salah literally never gets a rest in CL weeks.
The root cause of the multiple injuries are probably too many games with too little recovery time in between - and FIFA/UEFA's ludicrous increase in international tournament sizes in recent years turning football into a year round activity with insufficient time for pre-season (so players start the season less fit than they should be)
ATM we are playing weekend-midweek- weekend which gives recovery times between games of 3 or 4 days - and I've read elsewhere a number of medics/physios saying that with our players running 10 kms or more each game ideally they should be having a minimum of 4 days between matches and rotated so that they are not playing every game.
And if you get a few injuries it restricts the opportunity for rotation and increases the probability of the fit players picking up injuries.
We started off the season with a squad that was full in terms of EL squad rules (ie no more players that could be included - and hence no room for Spence to be included) but within that squad we had Richarlison and Odobert who became injured very quickly, Bergvall who initially was not experienced to play much (although he's looking much better half way through the season) with the squad having the limited reinforcement by the inclusion of youngsters Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear who can play a few games each.
But fundamentally our squad was relatively thin, and vulnerable to under performing or inconsistent players (and I would argue that Bissouma and Bentancur are both in that category), Son's decline in being able to play twice a week at a high level has been very sudden, and a few unusual events such as Vicario getting injured, Bentancur's 7 match suspension and it all affects the real depth of the squad
So I'm not sure that either Ange's coaching regime or medic's are entirely to blame, there a lot of luck involved too, and some players are better suited naturally to playing every 3 days - but I'd certainly be blaming FIFA/UEFA who are currently being sued by international players union for their increase in international match commitments.
The whole "We train like we play" thing cannot be good in regards to this.I don’t doubt that there are issues with our medical team but you have to also suspect Ange’s training methods and demands on players are part of the problem.
He rushed his two best CBs back against Chelsea, they got re-injured during the game. Davies get re-injured as soon as he returns to training. Richarlison gets re-injured a couple of games into his comeback. Odobert gets re-injured after 2 minutes of football. Son does his hamstring and re-injures it in his comeback game. Udogie constantly having knocks and setbacks.
We’ve had injuries before but never like this.
Agree with all of that.
Could we have swapped Richy for Spence in the EL squad when he got injured? if yes, I'd wonder why we didn't.
And as logical as all of that is, it still doesn't explain how Liverpool played Klopp's heavy metal football every 3 days in the CL and PL but never had the same problems. We have often been following a similar model to them so we need to know how they do it.
Our players are exhausted because the way are implementing elements of this silly system. Its not merely about how you set up. Angeball is ridiculously heedless of game state, it has next to no game management. Watching Forest kill us yesterday once they were a head and expend little or no energy in doing so was fucking embarrassing. You'd expect nothing less from a devotee of Frade.Salah is a physical monster. Our players are made out of sticks. When Liverpool played us recently look at how much stronger their players where than ours. Only a few like Bergvall looked of a similar physicality.
There is definitely a bit of both at play. Our medical department is below par and is rightly being under review as per recent reports.

I think some if them got the bullet at the start of the season ( if memory serves)
I wonder how far off Ben is to actually having his full badges. He already has all the ones needed to be an assistant or to coach the u21s.I have zero doubt he'd be better than what we have now. People are looking for somewhere to blame, facts don’t come into it.Medical staff, you mean?
I think, personally, its pretty safe to say that our injury issues are substantial but i really don't think there is much correlation with what people think is happening to the truth.
Our CB's do not do that many intensive sprints and considering that is the area where we are having most issues its more than likely that injuries and game volume mean players who come in have to play more and get injured more easily because they cannot be rotated as much.
People are always looking for excuses or some kind of conspiracy
